So can you spot the Juventus fan?

Napoli vs Juventus

Of the 10 football games in Serie A this weekend, there’s no doubt where the main focus will be.

Not just for sports betting fans but for much of Italy as one of the big clashes of the season unfolds.

And of all the various options at your disposal, the only thing I can guarantee is that betting odds won’t be offered on one aspect of the fixture – which fans make the loudest noise.

Because when the league leaders and champions-elect arrive in Naples to resume one of the most fiercely contested rivalries in Serie A, they won’t have anyone to cheer them on.

Of course, a handful may gain access into the Stadio San Paolo but Juventus will largely be alone.

That is because Napoli has confirmed no visiting supporters will be allowed in the stadium, citing reasons of ‘public order’.

It will be the same for next week’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg too.

Before anyone stands up and pleads unfairness, the same rule applied to Napoli fans during their two visits to Turin earlier this season.

It’s partly understandable given the sides are hated rivals.

That was only fuelled when talisman Gonzalo Higuain swapped the light blue for the ‘ Old Lady’ last summer, a move even the most measured Neapolitans took as a personal affront.

The contrast between the sides is clear and it’s far more than just a North-South divide.

Napoli are an exciting, attacking outfit and have only failed to score three times all season.

Even without Higuain, the trio of Lorenzo Insigne, Jose Callejon and Dries Mertens – this week linked with a lucrative move to China – remain potent.

Problem is at the other end of the park.

Napoli have just two clean sheets in 2017, while Juventus’ rearguard is widely considered one of the most resolute around.

Then there is the Juve attacking threat with Higuain and Paulo Dybala finding the net on a regular basis, although that cutting edge has been tempered slightly with Mario Mandzukic an injury doubt and Marko Pjaca ruled out for the season after damaging knee ligaments on international duty.

It all comes back to the Argentine.

In this fixture last season, Higuain scored once and set up the other in a Napoli victory.

In their two matches this season, Higuain has scored in both games against his former employers – both Juventus victories.

Perhaps this is a good time for Napoli to host Juve, given they are just over a week away from a mouth-watering Champions League quarter-final with Barcelona and have their injury problems.

Perhaps Napoli could slightly re-open the Scudetto race with victory.

Yet, realistically, whatever the outcome, this big match won’t decide the outcome of the title – it will be just well worth watching because it is a big grudge match and sparks may fly.

Even if you’ll probably only hear one set of supporters!

Italian Big Shots are right up for the Cup

It doesn’t get any better this year than the Coppa Italia semis! The four top sides in Serie A are set to battle for a big prize in a real highlight for sports betting fans.

We have two mouth-watering football games to decide who will reach the Coppa final and the semi-final ties have everything. There’s a feisty Rome derby, a clash between the best teams of the last two seasons, and manageable deficits for the home teams to make up. And, of course, there are plenty of options with Asian Handicap Betting at SBOBET to make it a couple of nights to remember!

AS Roma vs (0-2 on agg.) Lazio

Rome derbies are always tasty but this one has an extra bit of spice after Lazio – sitting fourth in Serie A – took a very handy 2-0 lead over second-placed Roma thanks to goals from Sergej Milinkovic and Ciro Immobile. Roma boss Luciano Spalletti says it’s perfectly possible to turn the tie around, but his whole team needs to turn up, rather than put the entire burden on the shoulders of the brilliant and explosive Radja Nainggolan.

Immobile is in cracking form, with 17 league goals and having scored for Italy in the international break. I wouldn’t bet against him hitting the net again on Wednesday.

Napoli vs (1-3 on agg.) Juventus

Gonzalo Higuain could face his old team in front of its passionate fans twice in the space of a few days as Napoli entertain Juve in the league and then the Coppa semi-final second leg. The Bianconeri came back from a goal down to win the first leg in Turin, 3-1, after a much improved second-half performance. Higuain, if selected, will be keen to score against his old mates and put the tie to bed, but the home side has a potent attacking threat itself spearheaded by 20-goal Dries Mertens.

It’s third against top with quality all over the pitch and I think there’ll be goals in this one.

Do you dare Bet Online on a Juve Slip-Up?

It’d be a brave move for sure. But if you like to chase the long betting odds from time to time, could this be the year the Bianconeri finally succumb to the chase?

With eight league football games still to play the gap is down to six points at the top of the table, so it’s not impossible. Another draw for Juventus next week and it might get interesting.

Napoli 1-1 Juventus

Ex-Napoli favourite Gonzalo Higuain received a predictably hostile reception at the Stadio San Paulo and was somewhat subdued as the champions were outplayed by the hosts for much of the game. Sami Khedira had given Juve the lead on seven minutes but Marek Hamsik’s equaliser on the hour was not before time.

Higuain may have to run the gauntlet in Naples again on Wednesday in the Coppa Italia semi-final clash. You can get odds of 3.10 on another draw.

Meanwhile, Roma climbed to within six points of the summit as Edin Dzeko struck twice at home to struggling Empoli as the second-placed club ran out 2-0 winners. He now has 33 goals in all competitions, the first Roma player to achieve those heights in a season.

Lazio stays in the hunt for Europe with a 1-2 win away to Sassuolo, as does Atalanta after slaughtering Genoa 0-5 in front of their own fans.

The shock of the weekend came in Verona where Crotone beat Chievo 1-2 and are now just five points from safety. Bottom club Pescara sprung their own surprise, holding AC Milan to a 1-1 draw.

Juve Fans bet online for their Heroes to pile on the Pressure

The hopeful chasers are still just in touch, but Juventus could take another big step towards retaining the Serie A title when they play before Roma and Napoli at the weekend.

Roma are at betting odds of 11.00 and Napoli at 32.00 to shock the Old Lady come the season’s end, and both are determined to keep hold of a Champions League place.

WEEK 31 SATURDAY:

Empoli vs Pescara

It’s squeaky bum time for 17th-placed Empoli, on a run of seven consecutive defeats and now just five points above the drop zone, where two of the bottom three, seemingly doomed a few weeks ago have begun picking up points. Pescara are the least likely to escape but had a fantastic draw with Milan this week and could spring another surprise.

WEEK 31 SUNDAY:

Juventus vs Chievo

There may be little value in Juve fans betting on a title win, but there are great handicap betting options every week. The Bianconeri is at 1.83 to beat Chievo with a -1.50 goals handicap. The visitors have lost three in four and will face a hungry Gonzalo Higuain, who bagged a vital brace against Napoli to send Juventus through to the Coppa final this week.

Atalanta vs Sassuolo

Atalanta’s verve this season, characterised by 14-goal Alejandro Gomez, has carried Gian Piero Gasperinis’s team to within six points of a Champions League spot and well on course for Europa at least. The fifth-placed hosts will have too much thrust for a Sassuolo team that is safe but on a run of three consecutive losses.

Bologna vs AS Roma

Luciano Spalletti has said his team need to get over the derby cup defeat quickly and focus on the league, so record scorer Edin Dzeko and chums will surely respond at Bologna. The hosts should already be on the beach with little to play for but did thump Chievo 4-1 last time at the Renato Dall’Ara, so they may put up a challenge.

Crotone vs Inter Milan

Despite Mauro Icardi’s 20-goal return, Inter have stuttered over the last two games and are three points behind Atalanta and a Europa place. Crotone were one of the seemingly doomed three, but a win against Chievo last week has brought 17th place into view. Not an ideal time for Stefano Pioli’s men to visit.

AC Milan vs Palermo

The Rossoneri sit a single point behind their Milan rivals and with three home wins on the bounce, will plan to tear into a Palermo team on a run of four defeats and seven points from safety.

Sampdoria vs Fiorentina

Eighth visits ninth in a meeting of two in-form sides. While Sampdoria must settle for a strong mid-table finish, the Viola have re-ignited hopes of a European return. On a run of three consecutive wins, the visitors have more to play for but won’t have it all their own way.

Cagliari vs Torino

This mid-table clash could be full of goals. Forty of the 60 games these two have participated in this season have yielded over 2.5 goals. Andrea Belotti has been on fire for Torino and is currently joint top scorer with Dzeko on 23.

Udinese vs Genoa

Three of the last four clashes between Udinese and Genoa have resulted in a 1-1 draw, but I’d be amazed if we get a repeat on Sunday. The hosts are in decent form on an unbeaten run of four; but Genoa will be happy they have points in the bag, having lost the last three including a 5-0 thrashing by Atalanta.

WEEK 31 MONDAY:

Lazio vs Napoli

Lazio have a spring in their step having ousted fierce rivals Roma from the Coppa; and while Napoli went out in the semi-final, they did beat Juve in their second leg, having held the Champions to a draw in the league last week. This is the game of the weekend and could go any way with Lazio at 2.83, Napoli 2.45 and the draw at 3.25.

Betting Odds are Big but Roma are still in the Hunt

Roma and Juventus both won well this weekend and the gap at the top of Serie A remains six points; but, despite betting tips pointing towards the Old Lady enjoying another triumph, there are no signs of Roma giving up the chase.

The Bianconeri are always the favourite among football betting fans, particularly in Turin. But whereas Napoli pushed them all the way last year, this season it’s the turn of Roma.

Edin Dzeko made one and scored his 24th of the league season as Roma won 0-3 in Bologna. Federico Fazio opened the scoring on 25 minutes, and then Dzeko set up Mo Salah for the second before netting himself at the Renato Dall’Ara.

Gonzalo Higuain followed up his two goals against Napoli in the Cup with another brace to give Juventus a 2-0 win against Chievo. It’s the seventh time the Argentine hit-man has banged in two in a game, and that’s the perfect warm-up for his big Champions League test against Barcelona this week.

In the battle for the third Champions League place, Napoli came out on top with a resounding 0-3 win at Lazio as the maestro Lorenzo Insigne scored twice. Napoli are now seven points clear of Lazio and four behind Roma.

The Milan clubs had mixed fortunes as the shock of the weekend came at Ezio Scida where a first-half double strike, courtesy of Diego Falcinelli, gave Crotone a 2-1 win over Inter. Danilo D'Ambrosio pulled one back but Crotone, seemingly doomed, are now just one win from safety after back-to-back victories. AC Milan took advantage and leapfrogged their rivals into sixth place with a 4-0 thumping of Palermo.

It’s Pride and Europe at stake in the big Milan Derby

A fixture steeped in history is our fantastic curtain raiser to Serie A Saturday when Inter take on Milan.

After 55 football games, you can’t split the Milan giants, both having won 20 and drawn 15. And betting odds for this one don’t really give us much of a clue.

WEEK 32 SATURDAY:

Inter Milan vs AC Milan

You can get odds of 2.09 for an Inter win, 3.35 Milan and 3.40 the draw with Asian Handicap Betting at SBOBET. But Inter, in seventh and two points behind their rivals, have lost the last two. Goal scorers Mauro Icardi with 20 for Inter and Carlos Bacca with 13 for Milan will shoot it out at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium as both want to take a big step towards a Europa place…and damage the hopes of the other.

Pescara vs Juventus

Bottom plays top on the East Coast and it’s probably a question of how many Juventus will win by. Pescara have struggled as a newcomer to Serie A and are close to a return to the second tier. The Bianconeri, fresh from dismantling the great Barcelona in the Champions League, will be relentless.

AS Roma vs Atalanta

Six points behind the leaders in second place, Roma face a serious test to continue a six-match winning run against fifth-placed Atalanta. The visitors have the Milan clubs breathing down their necks but will have their work cut out to stop record-breaking 24-goal Edin Dzeko. Roma are at 1.85 to win with a -1.00 handicap.

Genoa vs Lazio

Lazio are fourth and seven points behind Napoli, but only three ahead of Milan in sixth so Simone Inzaghi will be keen to put defeats to Napoli and Roma behind him. Genoa’s a good place to get back to winning ways as the home side is on a run of four consecutive defeats without scoring.

Fiorentina vs Empoli

Bayern Munich has expressed an interest in the Viola’s ten-goal star Federico Bernardeschi; but in the meantime, the dynamo will aim to help his side, which hasn’t given up on Europa qualification. Empoli can give up on Serie A if they don’t stop an alarming run which sees them just three points above the drop. Home win, I think.

Torino vs Crotone

Empoli’s determined effort to nosedive out of Serie A could benefit Crotone, seemingly doomed until back-to-back wins have brought them to within just one more win of 17th. Tenth-placed Torino want to sign keeper Joe Hart for another year, but if he can’t keep Crotone out they may change their minds!

Cagliari vs Chievo

Thirteenth plays 12th at Cagliari, and the hosts have a chance to change a sequence of four consecutive defeats to Chievo as the visitors have hit the skids with three defeats on the bounce. Cagliari’s Marco Borriello is one to watch with 14 goals to his name.

Palermo vs Bologna

Palermo are in desperate trouble in 19th, having lost the last five. And while Bologna lost their last two, they did face in-form sides Roma and Fiorentina; they also won the two games prior to those. So an away win at 2.78 seems reasonable.

WEEK 32 SUNDAY:

Sassuolo vs Sampdoria

Sampdoria are up to ninth after three wins and ten points from the last five games. They will be strongly fancied to continue the run against a Sassuolo team safe in 15th and without a win in six, not to mention six consecutive home defeats. Their fans must love them!

Napoli vs Udinese

Third-placed Napoli are a further four points behind and ten off the top, but nicely ensconced in a Champions League place. Udinese are in good shape in 11th though, with ten points from the last four and Cyril Thereau in good form on 11 goals.

Live Betting Delight for Rossoneri as Milan strikes back!

Inter 2-2 AC Milan

A 97th-minute strike by Cristian Zapata snatched a late, late point for Milan to send their fans into ecstasy and frustrate the hosts in the big derby.

And Rossoneri fans who kept faith to back their heroes with mobile betting were rewarded handsomely. Inter thought they’d done enough to swap places with sixth-placed Milan but in football games like this when the stakes are so high, it ain’t over ‘til it’s over.

It was all Inter in the first period and when Roberto Gagliardini found Antonio Candreva on 36 minutes, the winger fired home from a tight angle to put the hosts ahead. And they pressed home the advantage shortly before the break when Ivan Perisic teed up the prolific Mauro Icardi to make it two.

Vincenzo Montella sent the Rossoneri out for the second half with more purpose, but they had to wait until the 83rd minute to sneak a glimpse of hope when Alessio Romagnoli slotted home to set up a grandstand finish. And then, when Inter seemed all but there, seven minutes into time added, Carlos Bacca found Zapata who fired home from close range to send the crowd wild.

Juventus moved eight points clear at the top as Gonzalo Higuain warmed up for the big Champions League clash with Barca by scoring a first-half double at the Adriatico against bottom club Pescara. The Bianconeri strolled to a 2-0 win.

Edin Dzeko’s second-half equaliser won a point for Roma at home to Atalanta in a 1-1 draw to stay second.

And at the bottom end, Empoli’s Manuel Pasqual slotted home a 93rd-minute penalty to win a crucial and unexpected three points at Fiorentina. The win moves Empoli five points clear of 18th-placed Crotone who had an impressive 1-1 draw at Torino.

More football betting goodness to come in Serie A

Every club is making a push to better their Serie A standing with the season nearing its end. With the way things are going, it looks like Juventus are going to run away with the trophy this year once again.

While betting odds are still in favour of the Old Lady, the rest of the clubs can still offer fantastic football and great winning to online betting fans. All you need to do is take a good look at what’s on offer this weekend.

WEEK 33 SUNDAY:

Atalanta vs Bologna

Atalanta need a big win against Bologna in order to safeguard their bid for Europa League football, so expect Alejandro Gomez to add to his 14-goal tally with his club’s push for European football. Meanwhile, Bologna are far from relegation and can completely focus on playing their own brand of football.

Fiorentina vs Inter Milan

The Viola face Inter in a game that will spell their chances of playing in Europe.

Both sides are coming off of disappointing results: Fiorentina lost to Empoli at home while Inter had to settle for a draw against derby rivals AC Milan. Both managers want the three points to edge closer to Europe, so expect big plays from Mauro Icardi and Nikola Kalinic.

Inter won the reverse fixture, but we should look at this on a clean slate and count on Fiorentina to fight rabidly. This can might on a one-goal difference that will see the Viola as narrow victors. Placing a -0.25 handicap on Fiorentina is a risky move that rewards the daredevils with 2.36 odds.

Sassuolo vs Napoli

Sassuolo have turned their fortunes around when Lorenzo Pellegrini orchestrated a second-half comeback against Sampdoria. However, Napoli haven’t lost in six and will be looking to easily snag the three points from them.

Udinese vs Cagliari

This mid-table clash will not get these two clubs anywhere, but three points are worth fighting for at this stage of the season. Cagliari and Udinese won’t get tussled in the relegation struggle anytime soon, but it pays to be safe than sorry in the fragile world of professional football.

Sampdoria vs Crotone

A win is badly needed for eighteenth-placed Crotone. Their recent run of form have placed them only five points behind Empoli and safety, so their upcoming battle against Sampdoria is a must-win. Diego Falcinelli will be making life difficult for the hosts, a club that lost against Sassuolo at fifteenth.

It’s fine to cheer for the underdog this time around because Crotone +0.50 give out 2.02!

AC Milan vs Empoli

Milan just need one win to seriously contend for Europa League, so a win against Empoli is an important agenda for Vincenzo Montella. Carlos Bacca was kept scoreless in the Milan Derby and will be hungry for goals.

Lazio vs Palermo

Palermo just got their first point in six games after preventing Bologna from scoring anything. However, they are still deep in the relegation zone, and the window of opportunity is closing fast. Winning against Palermo is quite the tall order, and they should consider kissing the top flight goodbye.

Chievo vs Torino

Joe Hart’s abysmal form over the last couple of games has robbed Torino of much-needed points, forcing them to set their plans of Europe back another year. The estranged Manchester City keeper can redeem himself by making good saves against the unassuming Chievo. I’m not sure if a good game against them would add to his stock, however.

WEEK 33 MONDAY:

Juventus vs Genoa

Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus are on a high after preventing another Barcelona comeback from happening. With the Bianconeri’s confidence soaring through the roof, it’s impossible to count on the Old Lady sending Genoa home with a sack of potatoes as a party favour.

WEEK 33 TUESDAY:

Pescara vs AS Roma

Pescara may have started their good run of form a little too late, as they are twelve points away from safety with only five game days to go. The least they can do at this point is shock the Serie A with an overwhelming victory against a confident Roma side. I don’t think that will happen, though.

Online betting shock as the Rossoneri disappoint

AC Milan 1-2 Empoli

AC Milan still can't catch a break as they succumbed to 17th-placed Empoli to the disappointment of live betting fans in attendance at San Siro.

Betting odds had the home side winning this affair considering that they thrashed the same outfit by three goals last November. But despite dominating large portions of the first half, they weren't able to bounce back after Empoli took a surprise lead through Levan Mchedlidze.

The Rossoneri could have levelled matters shortly after the hour with Suso on the spot following Lukasz Skorupski's push over Mario Pasalic. However, the Empoli keeper made amends for his error by keeping out the Spaniard's attempt – a costly miss to say the least.

Mame Thiam then scored his first goal in Italian football and doubled the lead for the visitors when he slotted home a Massimo Maccarone assist in the 67th.

Although Gianluca Lapadula halved the deficit five minutes later, they still couldn't equalise and make a repeat of their comeback, just like how they did it in their Milan derby last week.

It was indeed fantastic defending and goalkeeping for Empoli and utter frustration for Vincenzo Montella's side that remain winless under their new Chinese owners.

With the defeat, Milan remain in the last Europa League qualifying spot at sixth; but it was a huge hit on their chances with Fiorentina and Torino looking to stage a late push after winning against Inter (5-4) and Chievo (1-3) respectively.

Lazio, on the other hand, kept a firm grip on the fourth spot with a 6-2 drubbing of 19th-placed Palermo, courtesy of a Balde Keita hat-trick and a Ciro Immobile double. Meanwhile, Atalanta stay fifth after Mattia Caldara scored 15 minutes from time to survive a second-half Bologna threat and win, 3-2.

Juventus though are still clear favourites to win their sixth straight Scudetto as they maintained their lead on top after Paulo Dybala went on target in their 4-0 revenge over Genoa.

When in Rome… Football Betting is just perfect!

AS Roma vs Lazio

There will be no holds barred at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, as the two Rome giants prepare for battle, both with a glittering prize at stake.

Visitors Lazio sit in fourth and want at least a Europa place, but have a slim Champions League hope, while second-placed Roma have the Champions League as a reality… and dreams of supremacy. As with all dreams, the betting odds aren’t kind but try telling that to the passionate Rome fans.

Roma’s Edin Dzeko and Lazio’s Ciro Immobile have enjoyed outstanding seasons, with 25 and 20 league goals. SBOBET’s Asian Handicap Betting pitches Roma at 1.87 with a -0.50 handicap with Lazio at 2.06 with the same start. Both teams need a win to keep their dream alive and a defeat for either will damage morale in the crucial run in. This could be an epic!

The day before, Juventus visit Atalanta in the hope of extending the Old Lady’s lead to heap early pressure on Roma. The hosts are unbeaten in five and in a Europa spot so this is no walk in the park for Juve, at 2.23 to win.

Third-placed Napoli have a tough away clash in Milan as Inter aim to revive their hopes of making a Europa charge, after losing a nine-goal thriller to the Viola last week despite hot shot Mauro Icardi firing a hat-trick. If Lazio beat Roma on this week, Napoli will need to keep a firm grip on third place.

Fiorentina’s thrilling win over Inter has kept alive their own hopes of Europe and a visit to virtually doomed Palermo is a good chance to gather momentum.

At the bottom end, Crotone still hold onto hope of survival, in 18th place and five points from safety, and face sixth-placed Milan, another Europa chaser.

The team in Crotone’s sights are Empoli, but the 17th-placed club have a winnable home fixture to already safe Sassuolo.

It’s time to hold your nerves!

Stunning Lazio Win gives happy Juve an easy Path

Roma 1-3 Lazio

It was the best of both worlds for Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico as Simone Inzaghi’s team put on a brilliant display in the Capital City derby, beating Roma 1-3.

Betting websites and football betting experts agree that the title is heading back to Turin despite Juve’s draw at Atalanta, as the gap at the top is now nine points with four Serie A football games to play

Lazio’s Keita scored one at either end of the game to win the Rome derby, with another Dusan Basta shot from distance breaching the Roma defence. It was too easy for impressive Lazio. Daniele De Rossi converted a penalty on the cusp of half-time to get Roma back in the game, but their title dreams are over while Lazio cement its position in fourth.

It was Atalanta 2-2 Juventus on Saturday night after Remo Freuler scored a late goal to grab a share of the spoils for the home side. Dani Alves thought he’d headed the Bianconeri to a sixth successive victory on 83 minutes before Freuler’s late strike. But Juve are near to celebrating another triumph.

Third-placed Napoli are within one point of Roma after a 1-0 win over Inter at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. Jose Callejon fired the visitors in front on 43 minutes and Napoli saw the game out to strengthen their hopes of a Champion League return. Inter stay seventh and are beginning to drift away from the Europa places.

A shock 2-0 defeat at doomed Palermo has stunted Fiorentina’s European hopes while Crotone crept to within four points of safety after a 1-1 draw with Milan.

Big Football Games keep on coming for the Bianconeri

Juventus are a silverware magnet with a Coppa Italia final to look forward to, a Champions League final almost in the bag and the small matter of a Serie A title to collect!

Many a football prediction says The Old Lady can win her 33rd title, and sixth on the run, this weekend when she takes on Torino, a side with little to play for but pride. At betting odds of 1.88 on a win, with a -1.00 handicap, it’s inconceivable that Juve won’t get the win they need. With three games to follow this one, it’s just a matter of time.

Gonzalo Higuain scored a crucial double in the Champions League to take some heat off that competition, and so Max Allegri can use his excellent squad as he wishes.

Napoli can go second by beating 12th-placed Cagliari; but if there are any Juve fans with the tiniest doubt in their minds, they’ll be looking towards Milan on Monday morning. Roma may still be in with a chance of keeping the league going for another week when they visit sixth-placed AC Milan, but the hosts will provide stiff opposition, as they need a win to keep their hopes of European qualification. Roma are 2.17 to win.

Atalanta are in fifth spot and looking nailed on for Europe, but face a tricky trip to Udinese to make sure, while fourth-placed Lazio can cement their position with a win over Sampdoria in Rome.

At the bottom, Crotone still hold out hopes of escape and can close the gap to 17th-placed Empoli if they can beat bottom club Pescara on the East coast; but Empoli too have a winnable game at home to Bologna.

It’s going to be Six Title Wins on the Run for Juventus…soon!

Juventus 1-1 Torino

Gonzalo Higuain scored an injury-time equaliser to give Juventus a point in the Turin derby, when it looked like the league leaders were about to lose at home against ten men.

But with three Serie A football games to go, it’s as safe as anything in the sports betting world to make a football prediction that the Bianconeri will pick up Italy’s premier trophy again. The Old Lady need just one victory.

But they couldn’t win against Torino on Sunday, relying on Higuain to grab a late 1-1 draw after Adem Ljajic had given the visitors a lead. Afriyie Acquah was dismissed with two yellow cards before the hour, giving the Bianconeri a big advantage in its successful search for an equaliser.

Napoli went second on Sunday by beating Cagliari 3-1. Dries Mertens bagged a brace while the excellent Lorenzo Insigne added a third. Diego Farias fired a late consolation for the visitors.

On Monday, league-leading scorer Edin Dzeko took his tally to 27 as Roma replied emphatically with a 1-4 win over Milan to reclaim second place.

Lazio stay fourth after giving Sampdoria a 7-3 thumping in a ten goal extravaganza. Ciro Immobile took his season tally to 22 goals with a double, as one of six Lazio scorers.

In the relegation battle Crotone are still four points from safety despite winning 0-1 at bottom club Pescara, because 17th-placed Empoli had a crucial 3-1 win over Bologna.

Max Allegri won’t allow any relaxation but surely the Bianconeri have the champagne on ice.

Pride and points are at stake in these football games

Juventus suddenly dropped points late in their Champions League campaign, shining a small ray of light upon title-chasers Roma and Napoli.

It’s still statistically improbable according to betting odds, but we may be seeing an incredible upset in the making should Juve choke in Rome. Football betting forums are already buzzing on what the table would look like should Roma grab the three points.

The Roma-Juventus game is the poster boy for the myriad of thrilling Serie A contests coming our way this weekend.

WEEK 36 SUNDAY:

Fiorentina vs Lazio

The weekend kicks off with a clash of two of the Serie A’s top teams. Lazio will want to secure their Europa League spot by winning against Fiorentina. Meanwhile, the visitors will be more than happy to play for a draw. Expect Paulo Sousa to push the tempo and Simone Inzaghi to play it safer. Punters may consider betting for Fiorentina -0.50 @ 2.14.

Atalanta vs Milan

Atalanta haven’t lost in seven games but lost out on eight points that could have helped them snag a Champions League place. All they can do now is to secure the last Europe spot by keeping down a struggling Milan side. Carlos Bacca needs to put on his shooting boots if the Rossoneri are going to have a chance to steal La Dea’s Europa League ticket.

Internazionale vs Sassuolo

Inter’s losing streak got them out of contention for Europe, to the chagrin of Zhang Jindong. All they could do now is to keep their top-seven spot by beating Sassuolo. The visitors will be confident coming into this match after their five-game undefeated streak. Expect Mauro Icardi to keep bringing in goals for I Nerazzurri.

Sampdoria vs Chievo

Chievo managed to stop their five-game skid by beating Genoa and drawing with Palermo. Rolando Maran’s lads have a chance to end the season on a high by beating Sampdoria. The hosts aren’t in their best form after Lazio humbled them, 7-3.

Cagliari vs Empoli

Empoli are still far from safety after three wins in four games. They need to win at Stadio Sant’Elia if they want to secure another season of Serie A football. However, I Sardi won their last two home games and aren’t likely to buckle this time.

Palermo vs Genoa

Palermo also doomed themselves to relegation after their draw against Chievo. They will now be fighting for pride at this point as they battle Genoa. The visitors may find themselves in a ditch if they don’t face these hosts seriously.

Torino vs Napoli

Both clubs are enjoying long unbeaten streaks, but the number of draws they had in their runs tells the story of Napoli’s 27-point lead against Torino. Joe Hart and the rest of Il Toro’s defence need to sharpen up if they don’t want Dries Mertens to erase Andrea Belotti’s efforts. Expect goals in this one, and Torino +1.00 @ 2.08 is the way to go.

Bologna vs Pescara

Both clubs don’t have anything to fight for since their fates have been long secured. However, both Roberto Donadoni and Zdenek Zeman want to end their seasons on a happy note. Expect these clubs to engage in no-holds-barred attacking football that is sure to entertain.

Crotone vs Udinese

Crotone need a lot of things to go their way if they want to escape the drop. First: they need to keep their unbeaten run and beat Udinese’s inconsistent XI. Second: they need Diego Falcinelli to score goals. Third: Empoli must lose to Cagliari. Crotone fans need to pray a lot for these to happen.

WEEK 36 MONDAY:

AS Roma vs Juventus

The football weekend ends on a high as this match could turn the endgame on its head.

Successive draws against Torino and Atalanta suddenly placed cracks in the Bianconeri’s title run. There are still nine points left, and a defeat to Roma could lead to a late collapse for Juve. Gonzalo Higuain will bring the goals, but Massimiliano Allegri needs to shore up his defence against Luciano Spaletti’s tactics and Edin Dzeko’s strikes.

This game will be a cracker, so expect goals from both sides. Fans interested in this game should look at Roma -0.25 @ 2.28.

Don’t award the big title to the Old Lady just yet!

AS Roma 3-1 Juventus

It isn't over 'til it's over – just ask Roma about that!

Down by one early in the game, Roma battled back with three goals at the Stadio Olimpico to put a dent on Juventus' title charge and excite online betting even more.

Sure enough, sports betting pundits still have the Old Lady winning their sixth successive scudetto, but Roma's latest victory will make betting odds tight as the Serie A enters its penultimate chapter next week.

Although without playmaker Paulo Dybala – who was put on the bench by Max Allegri to rest him as they prepare for the Italian Cup and Champions League final – Juventus still looked to be in control of the game when Mario Lemina put them ahead in the 21st minute.

Roma, however, didn't give Juve any time to prepare for a championship celebration as they equalised soon after through Daniele De Rossi who stabbed the ball home past Gianluigi Buffon from close range.

The Yellow and Reds bright start carried over in the second half, and their fans had a lot more to celebrate with Stephan El Shaarawy filling in the void left by the injured Edin Dzeko to meet high expectations following his brilliant showing in Milan.

Shaarawy turned the game around for the hosts, firing low into the bottom corner of the net on 56 minutes to give them the lead for good. Radja Nainggolan then crashed home a third after evading two defenders and beating Buffon near the post.

Allegri sent Dybala onto the field with the score at 3-1, but he wasn't able to change the momentum as Roma held on to cut Juve's lead from the top to just four points with two games to play.

Meanwhile, Napoli extended their unbeaten streak to 10 matches and briefly experienced climbing to second after hammering Torino 5-0 at Turin. With Roma's win, Napoli also have a mathematical chance of winning the title.

On the other end of the table, 18th-placed Crotone improved their survival hopes with a 1-0 win over Udinese. They still have a legitimate chance of making it out of the drop zone after 17th-placed Empoli lost to Cagliari 3-2, while 16th-placed Genoa fell to Palermo 1-0.

Can Lazio stop the Old Lady’s amazing Assault on History?

Coppa Italia Final

Lazio vs Juventus

Juventus make their latest charge on the record books in the Coppa final at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Thursday, and it’s the job of Lazio to stand in the way.

The Bianconeri are firm favourites to make it a record three domestic doubles in a row but football betting fans won’t be lulled into thinking the final is a foregone conclusion. At betting odds of 1.45 to win the cup, and 2.07 to win in 90 minutes, Juventus should, in theory, extend their winning run against the Romans. The last six football games between these two giants of Serie A have all gone the same way; wins for Juventus with six clean sheets.

But Lazio, at 2.88 to lift the trophy and 3.45 to do it in 90 minutes, pack a punch in the form of 22-goal Ciro Immobile and his 15-goal strike partner Keita. The Senegalese striker was on target at the weekend when Simone Inzaghi’s team lost to Fiorentina, and will be pumped up by his dream to breach the imposing Juve defence.

Roma did just that, and three times in this very stadium, beating Juventus 3-1 in the league yesterday and that should give Lazio some heart. Max Allegri defended his decision to rest six players in anticipation of the Coppa final: “I didn’t think we would certainly win the Scuddetto tonight. We have to prepare Wednesday’s final.”

Defensive rock Leonardo Bonucci added: “We hope this will serve as a lesson as we face a Lazio team in form in the final.”

Rested Paulo Dybala is likely to partner Gonzalo Higuain up front for Juventus and could well add to his four Coppa goals but if the Bianconeri are to make history then, as Bonucci will tell his team-mates again, this Lazio side have seen off Inter and Roma to get to the final.

Write them off at your peril!

Fantastic Coppa Win is the First Step for Juventus

Juventus 2-0 Lazio

One down, two to go. The Bianconeri stormed to the first third of an historic treble with a convincing Coppa Italia win at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

And with the league title within reach this weekend, betting odds on the domestic double are tight. Max Allegri’s team loves the biggest football games, and if the league is pocketed soon, attention will switch to the Champions League final where the Old Lady faces Real Madrid.

Italian football betting pundits who predicted Juve would overcome an in-form Lazio side were proved right in the first 25 minutes as the favourites hit the Romans with a lethal double strike.

Two defenders undid the Lazio rearguard, first Dani Alves volleyed home sweetly on 12 minutes after Alex Sandro found the full back with a beautiful pass. And then when defensive rock Leonardo Bonucci met Sandro’s corner unmarked, he finished with all the cool of a top striker to make it two.

Juve had more chances, while Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio tried to get back in the game, Keita hitting a post and Ciro Immobile heading a good chance wide.

Lazio continued to threaten in the second half; Keita shot wide from a dangerous position, Immobile tested Neto in the Juve goal and the Keita blasted over when he should have side footed home. If you don’t take your chances, recovering from a two goal deficit against this formidable Juventus team is impossible. The Bianconeri was never at its best in the second half and while Gonzalo Higuain worked for openings up front, they were happy to see the game out, with Neto in commanding form.

When Alves found Higuain, as the clock ran down, Juve’s leading scorer almost made it three…but two was always going to be enough.

Next stop for Juventus it’s Crotone, and then the big one.

Naples is the best Football Betting Hotspot this Weekend!

Serie A nears its dramatic climax as we move into round 37 and sports betting fans, in Italy and worldwide, are wondering…’could there be one final twist?’

If there is, then Naples may well be the place to be as Maurizio Sarri’s third-placed side, still with an outside chance of lifting the trophy, entertains Fiorentina.

Fired by the 25 goals of Dries Mertens and the guile and 16 goals of Lorenzo Insigne, Napoli have done well to stay in the race until the penultimate weekend. And you can get handicap betting odds of 1.91 on a home win with a -1.75 handicap.

Also on Sunday, Roma visit Chievo and, after last week’s win over the Bianconeri, could climb to within a point of the top. At 2.02 with a -2.00 goals handicap, you’d expect Roma to win against a side without a home victory in three.

And all that would put just a little pressure on Juventus when the leaders stride out to host 18th-placed Crotone. Juve will be buoyed by their Coppa win, but face a tough examination against Davide Nicola’s side which is making a heroic attempt to avoid the drop. An amazing haul of 14 points from the last six games has dragged Crotone back into the survival hunt, and they will fight as though their lives depend on it in Turin.

Crotone have Empoli, at home to fifth-placed Atalanta, and free-falling Genoa, hosts to Torino, firmly in their sights.

Fourth-placed Lazio can console themselves after a Coppa final defeat by beating Inter on Monday morning. Last week, Inter fans were so fed up with their team’s lacklustre performance against Sassuolo, they left at half-time leaving a huge banner declaring:

“WE’RE OFF FOR LUNCH AND WE’RE NOT COMING BACK!”

Dybala Strikes Gold in Epic Juventus Victory

Paulo Dybala put in a man-of-the-match performance to drive Juventus to a Serie A title win on a historic night of Italian football.

Juve have become the first team to win six successive Scudettos and a domestic double for the third year running. The Bianconeri loves these big football games and Dybala helped his team to glory, and justify pre–match betting odds with a decisive strike in the decisive game in the first half against Crotone.

The Old Lady’s football betting fans are now looking at the odds and dreaming of a treble, with the Champions League final to come.

Crotone came with a purpose, fighting for their Serie A lives, but a 12th-minute strike by Mario Mandzukic took the wind from their sales. Then a moment of brilliance from Dybala won Juvetus the title. He stepped up on 39 minutes to fire a free-kick into the top corner and the Scudetto was in Juve’s hands. He then crossed for Alex Sandro to head home late on to send the black and white fans wild.

Roma and Napoli had put Juventus under some pressure, both winning on Saturday to give meaning to Juve’s game. Stephan El Shaarawy and Mo Salah scored two each as Roma won 5-3 in Chievo, and Dries Mertens bagged a couple as Napoli wacked Fiorentina 4-1. There was good and bad news for Crotone. Genoa are safe after goals from Luca Rigoni and Giovanni Simeone gave them victory over Torino but 17th placed Empoli stays just a point ahead of Crotone after losing to 1-0 to Atalanta. Congratulations Juventus!

Juve will show why they are the football betting giants

The champions may have been determined last week, but Serie A still has a number of exciting football games to offer for its fans!

Juventus prevented a last-gasp attempt by Roma to steal the peak of Serie A. While this season is the closest anyone has gotten to the Turin giants in recent memory, the online betting favourites are still the club to beat in Italy.

Now that their victory is secured, Massimiliano Allegri has the option to field a weaker side against Bologna. The mid-table club endured a rough patch of games and won’t likely offer a tough contest against the Old Lady. With odds of Juve -0.50 Asian Handicap @ 2.04, this game merely serves as a formality for boisterous Juve fans as they celebrate with their beloved side.

Roma were so close to beating the established hegemony but have to settle for keeping their automatic Champions League spot by beating Genoa. Unless Ivan Juric manages to pull off an amazing upset, veteran punters will seriously consider going all out for the hosts’ 1.87 odds with a -3.00 handicap.

Torino, the other Turin club, had a lacklustre season with Joe Hart in between the sticks. The Manchester City loanee will try to end his tumultuous stint in Italy with a win against Sassuolo. Despite visitors’ seven-game unbeaten streak, I see this game ending in another draw. Put all of your money on Sassuolo’s +0.75 @ 2.20.

The bottom of the table provides the most excitement out of all the fixtures. Empoli and Crotone are in a rough tussle for survival, so their respective games against Palermo and Lazio will determine their futures.

It’d be easy to say that Empoli lucked out by playing the relegated Palermo, but Lazio’s string of three losses give the tiniest bit of hope for Davide Nicola’s side. Moreover, Palermo’s recent home matches are nothing short of impressive. These two games provide the biggest drama out of Game Day 38, and I’ll be making brave tips: cash in on Palermo’s +0.75 @ 2.26 and trust Crotone’s -0.50 @ 2.13.

The Serie A will be gone for a while, but these games are a great send-off to a season of exciting Italian football!

Here is a glimpse of the Old Lady’s bright future!

Bologna 1-2 Juventus

Juventus have already ended the Serie A online betting battle last week with their 3-0 victory over Crotone, but that didn't stop them from ending the season on a high note and giving sports betting fans a primer of their future.

A future that they hope would feature 17-year-old Moise Kean who surprised betting websites after saving the Old Lady against Bologna with a late, late winner and becoming the first player born in 2000 to score in a Top-5 European League.

The Italian champions are already gearing up for their clash with Real Madrid in the Champions League final as they eye for a treble, having won the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia recently. However, the hosts threatened to ruin their preparations with a spirited showing at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.

With Juve playing without Gianluigi Buffon (rest), Bologna broke the deadlock in the second half though Saphir Taider. The 25-year-old Algerian scored a beautiful goal from the top of the box, curling the ball across keeper Emil Audero who was also surprised with the shot that landed at the top-left corner of the net.

The Bianconeri, nonetheless, battled back and showed why they are Italy's best. They had a difficult time finding clear-cut chances against the excellent Angelo De Costa, but an opportunity came in the 70th minute when De Costa deflected Gonzalo Higuain's attempt only for Paulo Dybala to rebound the ball and chip in the equaliser.

Max Allegri then put in Kean to replace Dybala with less than 15 minutes remaining in regulation time; and although the youngster was relatively anonymous for the most part, he gave Juventus a big lift when he popped in the dying seconds of stoppage time to head home Miralem Pjanic's free-kick.

Kean's header, which is his first Serie A goal after just three appearances, prompted celebrations among a number of Juve fans who made the trip to Bologna.

Next up for Allegri's outfit is the Champions League at Cardiff next week where he will hope to see another incredible performance not only from the established stars but also from his whole team.

It’s All About One Man!

Let’s be honest, football betting fans.

With a respectful nod to the Bundesliga and Serie A, all the talk right now is focused on two leagues (Ligue 1 and La Liga) and where a certain Brazilian will be playing when competitive domestic football games resume later this month.

For despite fevered speculation over the last fortnight, few expected a Qatari funded club from the French capital to complete a transfer deal which eclipses anything which has gone before and, probably, will surpass anything in the future for some time to come.

Were there even any betting odds on such a move?

Some point to the meeting between Barcelona and Paris St-Germain last season.

The one where Barca famously overturned a 4-0 first leg deficit to complete the mother of all comebacks, albeit with highly dubious refereeing made in their favour.

In the days which followed their remarkable Champions League turnaround, Lionel Messi took many of the plaudits – understandable given his status as one of the best two footballers on the planet.

Yet it’s reported Neymar felt affronted at his lack of recognition.

After all, his two late goals and last-gasp match-winning assist meant he was the real match-winner.

Whether this story is true or not, Neymar is seemingly on his way.

The man who has scored 68 goals in 112 games for the Catalan giants is supposedly ready for a new challenge and the club quickly removed his image from the advertising posters around the Nou Camp.

As Neymar prepares to head to France, to a PSG side hell bent on recreating their dominance after the Monaco’s 2017 glory, the picture is clear for Les Parisiens.

He can be the poster boy in Paris and Ligue 1 and take advantage of the champions who are reeling from the loss of many key players this summer.

Meanwhile, in Spain all the focus is on who will replace the Brazilian – all manner of players have been linked, from Philippe Coutinho to Angel Di Maria to Paulo Dybala. Let’s not forget the opportunity which may now come the way of Gerard Deulofeu, back at Barca after a few years at Everton.

This should be an interesting few weeks in Catalonia.

Across Europe, Milan had previously been the story of the summer.

The sale of more than 60,000 tickets for a Europa League preliminary round tie proves that the Rossoneri’s summer moves have excited their support.

Snatching Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus remains the deal which shocked everyone – until Neymar’s price tag came along – but Franck Kessie could prove to be one of the signings of the summer, while the return of Claudio Marchisio to champions Juventus after injury and the arrival of Douglas Costa could prove equally astute.

Meanwhile, in Germany, James Rodriguez’s loan move to Bayern Munich, where he has been joined by Kingsley Coman and Corentin Tolisso; Sven Bender’s jump from Borussia Dortmund to Bayer Leverkusen (£15 million) and Ignacio Camacho’s arrival at Wolfsburg (also £15 million) are among the stand-out deals.

Yet, let us be honest: there’s only one transfer Europe is talking about right now.

Neymar, it’s over to you!

The Big Football Betting Questions are in Spain

We’re off on tour again to Munich, Paris, Milan, and Madrid as the big European Leagues kick off this week, and you can enjoy the lot with Asian Handicap Betting.

There are clear favourites in Italy, Germany and France, where handicap betting is the best way to play, as it is in Spain’s La Liga, where no one can agree on a favourite.

Real Madrid took the honours last season, winning both La Liga and the Champions League but Barcelona and the brilliant Lionel Messi pushed them close. Barca won one the best El Clasicos in history and will be determined to regain the top spot, but Zinedine Zidane may recruit to add to the exceptional Cristiano Ronaldo…Monaco’s Kylian M’Bappe maybe? Both teams are at 2.25 to win La Liga, with Atletico Madrid pushing them all the way at 7.50.

Can anyone stop the Old Lady of Serie A? Max Allegri’s Juventus are looking for a seventh Scudetto in a row and with the ageless Gianluigi Buffon at one end and the potent Gonzalo Higuain at the other, who’d bet against them at 1.55? Well, Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli looks a decent punt at 5.50 with their creative threat of Lorenzo Insigne, Marek Hamsik and Dries Mertens. Then again, Vincenzo Montella got AC Milan going last season, finishing sixth, crucially a place ahead of Inter and they can keep improving, available at 5.70 to upset the Bianconeri too.

Bayern are at 1.15 to make it six Bundesligas on the bounce and now have James Rodriguez to add to the goal threat of Robert Lewandowski. And with the rich talents of Franck Ribery, David Alaba and Arturo Vidal the Munich giants will be a formidable force again. Borussia Dortmund are the main threat at 6.90 and their fans will be delighted to keep hold of Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang. His 121 goals in 198 games for Dortmund show his worth.

Leonardo Jardim masterminded a stunning league win for Monaco in last year’s Championnat and they are at 8.50 to repeat that feat. But much will depend on how his team can recover from the likely departure of Kylian M’Bappe if they are to challenge strong favourites PSG again. The determination to regain the crown in Paris is made crystal clear by their record- breaking capture of Neymar at 222 million Euros.

That’s how much it means to win!

Can Lazio Take on the New Look Juventus Defence?

Lazio vs Juventus

Two giants of the Italian game meet in Rome on Sunday to contest the Supercoppa, in a clash which may give some clues for the coming Serie A season.

The big question is: ‘How will the Old Lady cope without her defensive rock?’ Betting tips say Juventus will add another title to their six consecutive wins, but Leonardo Bonucci’s surprise move to Milan has raised eyebrows.

In the competitive football games between these two since 2016, Juve have won all five; the last one was a 2-0 victory in May, scoring nine goals without reply. And with betting odds of 1.86 for Juventus to win on Sunday, it seems there is confidence they can cope without Bonucci, particularly as Lazio boast one of last season’s most potent strikers in Ciro Immobile. Coach Simone Inzaghi has been busy in the market, adding striker Felipe Caicedo from Espanyol and Oostende’s Adam Marusic for additional firepower. At 4.10 for a win, Lazio could be a decent value.

The Romans need to put their poor record against Juve behind them, but, roared on by their passionate fans, they will have a real go at the Champions’ defence to try and win their fourth Supercoppa.

Max Allegri has bought Milan’s Mattia de Sciglio and Cagliari’s Dario del Fabro to bolster his defence, but it is up front where his big signing of the summer landed.

With Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala already at the club, Federico Bernardeschi has arrived from Fiorentina to bring more attacking flair.

So even if you can breach the Juve defence, you’ll still need to score a few this season!

Super Lazio Love to Smash the Betting Odds

Juventus 2-3 Lazio

Alessandro Murgia scored a dramatic 92nd-minute winner to give Lazio a deserved Supercoppa victory in a fantastic curtain raiser to the new Italian season.

We said Lazio would give this a go, and with a scintillating display, they surprised the football betting pundits and even some of their own fans, having won only one of the previous 24 football games between these two giants.

The Bianconeri started brightly but as the first half progressed Lazio grew into the game and began to dominate periods of play. Juve looked sloppy on the ball, but it was Lazio’s energy and pressing which put the Champions under pressure. Former Liverpool man Lucas has added an efficient cool to Lazio’s midfield.

Ciro Immobile has been in sparkling form in pre-season and that continued as he scored a double to put Lazio 2-0 up. First, Gianluigi Buffon felled Immobile on the half hour and the former Juve youngster climbed to his feet to hit the perfect penalty – low, hard and right in the corner to put Lazio one up.

Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala tried to get Juve moving in the second half, but it was that man Immobile again, rising to plant a brilliant header beyond Buffon and into the net. Max Allegri rang the changes, bringing Douglas Costa in for Juan Cuadrado and the midfielder was busy as Juventus began to pile on the pressure.

With time running out, Paulo Dybala hit an absolute beauty of a free-kick, bent around the wall, to set up a thrilling last five minutes; and when Alex Sandro was felled in the box, Dybala converted with aplomb.

Then up popped substitute Murgia to slam home the winner deep into stoppage time to send the Roman fans wild!

Lazio Show the Rest how to Play the Best!

On the advent of a new Serie A season everyone wants to know if, and how, Juventus can be beaten. Well Lazio did it last Sunday.

The breathtaking climax in the Supercoppa gave live betting fans an unforgettable few minutes and sent the Lazio faithful wild. But the Old Lady remains a strong favourite to win another title, while betting odds have Napoli and Milan to make a serious challenge at 5.00 and 5.30.

WEEK 1 SATURDAY:

Juventus vs Cagliari Football betting pundits expect the Bianconeri to recover quickly and at odds of 1.86 with a handicap of -2.00, it should be comfortable. With Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi about to join, Max Allegri’s squad looks ready. Cagliari will struggle to emulate last season’s mid-table finish and won’t expect anything in Turin.

WEEK 1 SUNDAY:

Hellas Verona vs Napoli The gentlemen of Verona are back in the big time and welcome one of the two teams most likely to challenge Juventus. Maurizio Sarri is blessed with a settled side built around the excellent Lorenzo Insigne. Adam Ounas could make his debut up front and at odds of 2.25 with a -1.50 handicap Napoli expects a fast start.

WEEK 1 MONDAY:

Crotone vs AC Milan Crotone miraculously escaped relegation last season and are heavily tipped to struggle again this time. Milan coach Vincenzo Montella has added £38m striker Andre Silva to his team which finished sixth last season and are tipped to do considerably better.

Atalanta vs AS Roma Roma pushed Juve for much of 2016/17 but will be hard pressed to finish in the top three again. Much will depend on whether they can lure £40m rated Riyad Mahrez from Leicester. Atalanta did well to finish fourth last term and have added talented midfielder Marten de Roon. It’s a tough start for Roma.

Lazio vs SPAL If Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio can play like they did in the brilliant Supercoppa 3-2 win over Juve, then they could be in for a good season. Lucas looks a good addition in midfield having arrived from Liverpool. Serie B champion SPAL is using the loan market, notably bringing in Alberto Paloschi from Atalanta.

Inter Milan vs Fiorentina Matias Vecino made a £24m switch in summer from Fiorentina to Inter after both teams missed out on European football last season. The Viola have invested heavily for the new challenge, Giovanni Simeone has arrived from Genoa in a £15m move to add firepower.

Bologna vs Torino Without keeper Joe Hart, who has returned to the Premier League to join West Ham, Torino will find it tough to hold on to the ninth place achieved last year. But Bologna have had a winless pre-season and I expect Roberto Donadoni’s team to struggle again.

Sampdoria vs Benevento Midfielder Gaston Ramirez has arrived at Sampdoria from EPL relegated side Middlesbrough and will add a skillful attacking threat. Benevento fans will hope their team continues its momentum having finished sixth in Serie B and coming up through the play-offs. They could surprise a few.

Sassuolo vs Genoa Genoa had a poor season, finishing 16th and will miss the attacking threat of Simeone. But pre-season has been good with four wins so there is cause for hope. Sassuolo could improve on 12th and a repeat of last season’s 2-0 win in this fixture would be the perfect start.

Udinese vs Chievo These two finished 13th and 14th last season with Rolando Maran’s Chievo having the better of the two fixtures, drawing at home and winning away. But his priority this year is survival again, while Udinese might hope for a little more.

Serie A Big Guns fire true in opening Football Games!

The Italian football league is up and running again and the big teams put their markers down nice and early!

There were few slip-ups and a steady weekend for football betting fans with victories for the favourites. Betting websites suggest Juventus, Napoli and Milan will contest the Serie A title this season and all three got off to winning starts.

The Bianconeri blew Cagliari away, 3-0, with a goal each for their three hit men, Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain. Second favourites Napoli also scored three in Verona to win 3-1, but Elseid Hysias picked up an unnecessary red card at 3-0 to hand Verona a consolation goal from the penalty spot.

Crotone’s Federico Ceccherini was dismissed after just three minutes to allow a Milan onslaught as the visitors strolled to a 3-0 win; and former Manchester City star Aleksandar Kolarov fired home a free kick, to give Roma a 1-0 win in a testing visit to Atalanta.

Mauro Icardi scored a first half brace as Inter took a two goal half time lead against Fiorentina, before Ivan Peresic added another to make it 3-0.

The surprise result of the day came in Rome where new boys SPAL held Lazio to a 0-0 draw. There was another goalless draw between Sassuolo and Genoa while Bologna and Torino shared the spoils 1-1.

Meanwhile Chievo and Sampdoria had winning starts to the new season.

Sports Betting Fans Head to Rome for the Big Match

Title hopefuls Inter and Roma meet on Saturday after a winning start in Serie A, and it’s a chance for one of them to make their case.

Most football betting experts are looking elsewhere for a league winner, with Juventus, Napoli and Milan being the favoured three, but a fast start could easily put another name in the frame.

WEEK 2 SUNDAY:

AS Roma vs Inter Milan

I expect a tight game in Rome with betting odds at 2.36 for a home win, 2.96 an Inter victory and 3.25 the draw. Inter had the more comfortable start last week with the prolific Mauro Icardi bagging a brace in a 3-0 win over Fiorentina, while Roma needed an Aleksandar Kolarov free kick to earn a single-goal win over Atalanta.

Genoa vs Juventus

After losing the Supercoppa to Lazio, Juventus swept past Cagliari in their opening game. The Bianconeri will face a Genoa side which picked up a useful point at Sassuolo. The Old Lady is at 2.17 to win with a -1.50 handicap.

Benevento vs Bologna

Saturday’s other game sees new boys Benevento aiming to pick up their first point against Roberto Donadoni’s Bologna who got off the mark with a 1-1 draw at home to Torino. I can see some home cheer in this one, with Benevento at 2.65 to win.

WEEK 2 MONDAY:

Torino vs Sassuolo

There was one point each on the opening day for these two, and while neither will be particularly happy with another draw making it a sluggish start, Torino will want to make home advantage count. And if we get a repeat of their last meeting at the Stadio Olimpico, a 5-3 home win, the fans are in for a treat!

Napoli vs Atalanta

Napoli are one of the teams waiting for Juve’s first slip, but they will be without Elseid Hysaj who picked up a red card in the victory over Verona. Atalanta lost their opener but will present stiff opposition, having performed so well to finish fourth last season.

AC Milan vs Cagliari

It’s not the easiest of starts for poor Cagliari, destroyed by Juventus on the opening day. They now make a trip to Milan to face the third favourites who will be greeted passionately by the home fans after a 3-0 win in Crotone. A home win here, I expect.

Chievo vs Lazio

I wonder if Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio were suffering a bit of a Supercoppa hangover when they greeted newly promoted SPAL and then failed to score. And this won’t be easy. Rolando Maran will have his team up to frustrate the Romans after a great away win in Udinese.

Fiorentina vs Sampdoria

The Viola had a thumping last week, succumbing 3-0 to Inter. Their fans will want to see an immediate reaction when they welcome Sampdoria, who bagged an opening-day win against Benevento. All eyes will be on Fiorentina’s new £15m star striker Giovanni Simeone.

S.P.A.L. 2013 vs Udinese

With one point already in the bag, SPAL have a good chance to add another one or three and get some of that essential early-season momentum. Udinese lost their home game against Chievo and will be desperate to get off the mark. I don’t expect any more than a one-goal margin in this game.

Crotone vs Hellas Verona

Newcomers Verona visit Crotone in what already looks like a bottom end six-pointer. It’s too early to be sure, of course, but both teams were hit for three last week and another defeat here could suggest a long, long season for someone.

So Could There Now Be New Challengers?

Can either of the Milan clubs or Napoli realistically push Juventus this term?

What do you think sports betting fans?

Have they got enough talent to win enough football games over the course of nine months to deny the top team in Italy a seventh successive Serie A crown?

After these results, those who study football betting closely may think twice.

Benevento 0-1 Bologna

Spare a thought for new boys Benevento who thought they had secured their first ever Serie A point.

That is until Fabio Lucioni’s last-gasp finish was ruled out for offside (he had earlier hit the bar).

An equaliser denied, it meant Godfred Donsah, who later went off injured, was the match-winner with a wonderful solo goal.

Genoa 2-4 Juventus

I suppose that’s why Juve are champions!

Two goals down inside seven minutes, they levelled by the break and clinched victory with a fourth in stoppage time.

The often underrated Paulo Dybala was the hero with a hat-trick as the Old Lady of Italian football made it two wins from two.

AS Roma 1-3 Inter Milan

What a win for Luciano Spalletti – marking his first return to the Olympic Stadium with victory for his new club.

What impact he has on Inter remains to be seen, but the start is certainly impressive.

Roma, who can ill afford results like this if they are to mount a sustained title challenge, can point to the fact it wasn’t their day – they hit the woodwork three times!

Torino 3-0 Sassuolo

An early contender for goal of the season set Torino on their way.

Who else but Andrea Belotti provided it, and in the end it was a comfortable home success.

The visitors were very much in the contest before late goals from Adem Ljajic and Joel Obi.

Chievo 1-2 Lazio

There are few feelings better than a last-minute winner.

Just ask Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. His 89th-minute right-foot missile was fitting to win any game and ensured Lazio leapfrog city rivals Roma in the fledgling table.

They always enjoy that!

Crotone 0-0 Hellas Verona

An early relegation battle or two sides just glad to claim their first points of the campaign?

Whichever way you look at it, both clubs are off the mark.

Bigger tests, of course, will follow.

Fiorentina 1-2 Sampdoria

Sampdoria made it two wins from two and never really looked back after two goals in four first-half minutes.

Their first victory in Florence since 2004was secured courtesy of Gianluca Caprari and Fabio Quagliarella.

Viola improved in the second half but it wasn’t enough.

AC Milan 2-1 Cagliari

They made hard work of it but in the end, Milan will just be glad to have maintained their winning start.

Suso’s 70th-minute free-kick clinched maximum points after he had earlier set up young Patrick Cutrone for the opener.

The Sardinians had given the Rossoneri a scare and equalised through Joao Pedro.

Napoli 3-1 Atalanta

This was an important victory for Napoli.

They lost home and away to Atalanta last term and a repeat was a distinct possibility as they trailed at the break.

In the end, however, Maurizio Sarri’s side prevailed, although the reaction goalkeeper Pepe Reina gave home fans at full-time suggests the player may be PSG bound.

SPAL 3-2 Udinese

When you’ve waited nearly half a century, you tend to want your first Serie A win to come with some style.

A stoppage-time goal from Luca Rizzo sent the majority inside the Stadio Mazza wild.

Now, can they prove their doubters wrong?

Massive Mbappe Deal Makes This a Big Window!

Kylian Mbappe has switched from Monaco to PSG in a move which has set the pulses racing in European football.

After Neymar’s €222m switch from Barca to PSG, we’ve had a transfer window to remember in France with the Paris giants flexing their muscles again by capturing the hottest property in Ligue 1. The football betting world watched with interest, and there’s now some time to mull over this big transfer with a weekend of international football games to come.

Online betting fans will look closely at PSG when they start to make their picks for the Champions League. And with good reason, too, as we understand that Mbappe’s loan move agreement includes an obligation to buy for £166m next summer. This coup might just give Unai Emery’s stars enough to smash through the glass ceiling and break up the Spanish and German domination of Europe.

Elsewhere, it was a pretty quiet day across the continent with the Bundesliga window closing yesterday and La Liga tomorrow. The big story in Spain is Barcelona’s pursuit of Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho. The Catalans have a €130m offer on the table and they need to replace Neymar with a new talent, but Liverpool are standing firm and insist they won’t sell.

In Italy, the deals were mostly done early in the summer, but today, former Manchester United winger Nani has arrived at Napoli. In a big money move, Duvan Zapata has left Naples to go to Sampdoria.

But beware, all you European aristocrats: the French Revolution is coming.

There are Exciting Football Games to be Played

The transfer window’s closed, the squads are locked and loaded for the upcoming season, and football betting fans can now zero in on the exciting football to be had this season.

Juventus are still the juggernauts the rest of the pack has to chase, but there are clubs that pose a legitimate threat to the seemingly untouchable champions. Napoli and the two Milans can draw attractive betting odds with their fantastic starts to the season.

Let’s dilly-dally no longer and head straight to the games!

WEEK 3 SUNDAY:

Juventus vs Chievo

Juventus are on top of the window for a good reason, and they’ll likely show us why when they face Chievo. I Gialloblu may be doing well at the moment, but they probably don’t stand a chance against the Serie A giants.

Sampdoria vs Roma

Roma were knocked off their high horses after Inter Milan obliterated them to win 1-3 away. They may face an interesting challenge against Sampdoria, with their last game being a first-half shutout of Fiorentina. A risky gambler will believe in Sampdoria, but I think Roma have too much talent on their squad to lose. I’d recommend a bet on Roma’s -0.75 Asian Handicap for 2.14.

Inter Milan vs S.P.A.L. 2013

SPAL are doing pretty well for their first few weeks of Serie A action. A draw with Lazio and a win against Udinese have most likely made Leonardo Semplici a happy man. However, I don’t think he can manoeuvre his team to win against Luciano Spalletti and Inter.

Atalanta vs Sassuolo

Both teams came out of the gates tripping on their own laces, so a win here could do a huge boon to their forms and confidence. Sassuolo especially need a boost after their 3-0 thrashing they experienced at the hands of Torino.

Cagliari vs Crotone

Supporters of Crotone don’t wish for another life-or-death struggle at the wrong end of the league table, so a win against Cagliari is a must for Davide Nicola’s lads. Their hosts endured a slew of defeats against Juventus and Inter, so now’s a good time for them to get three points.

Hellas Verona vs Fiorentina

Fiorentina’s frustrating end to their previous Serie A campaign seems to haunt them still at the start of the new season. Losses to Inter and Sampdoria are Stefano Pioli in hot water. They need to win against the recently promoted Verona in order to get things going.

With the amount of talent they have, the Viola have this game in the bag. Punters should make a bet for Fiorentina -0.50 @ 2.21.

Lazio vs AC Milan

The sleeping giants may have finally found their stride.

Under the guidance of new ownership and management, the Rossoneri made a lot of impressive signings. Keeping Gianluigi Donnarumma is also a great victory for them. Considering their form and moves in the past summer window, I find it hard not to cheer for the former European force to rediscover their winning ways and win against a very intimidating Lazio side.

This might be a close one, but I believe momentum is on Milan’s side. Take a risk and bet good money on Milan’s 2.79 1X2 odds.

Udinese vs Genoa

Both of these clubs aren’t so hot at the start of the season, and this match has a draw written all over it. However, Udinese comfortably won over Genoa the last time they met at Dacia Arena. A 3-0 game might happen again, but I’m not making any promises.

WEEK 3 MONDAY:

Benevento vs Torino

Benevento may have lost their first two games of the season, but those matches displayed a battling side neutrals will love. Fans can expect the minnows to exert the same level of effort against a strong Torino side.

Bologna vs Napoli

Bologna are doing okay in their first weeks of the season, but Napoli will fully test Roberto Donadoni’s transfer strategy during the window. Maurizio Sarri has the better players in almost every department, so it will be a challenge for Bologna to come away with the win at home.

Not Even the Rain Can Stop this Remarkable Man!

Lazio 4-1 AC Milan

A heavy downpour delayed the Lazio-Milan game for an hour, but it didn't stop Ciro Immobile from flooding the Stadio Olimpico with goals throughout the night.

The Italy international produced a masterful hat-trick performance to lift Lazio over the big-spending and new-look Milan, who have the likes of Leonardo Bonucci, Lucas Biglia and Ricardo Rodriguez in their ranks.

Pre-match betting odds were tight between the two, but betting tips had the Rossoneri coming out on top after a brilliant start to the season that saw them go undefeated and win their last four football games – two in the Europa League.

However, Lazio didn't buy the hype surrounding the Milan outfit as they thumped them with four goals in less than an hour.

Immobile led the charge for the home side in a blistering 10 minutes of action that saw him bag a hat-trick, starting with a 38th-minute penalty after Franck Kessie's foul on Luis Alberto.

The 27-year-old striker then hit his second off a Senad Lulic cross four minutes later before Marco Parolo set him up after the restart to complete his treble.

Immobile, though, didn't stop there as he piled more misery on the visitors, assisting Alberto for Lazio's fourth.

The Milan side had a couple of opportunities early in the game; however, they failed to convert on their chances and had to settle for Riccardo Montolivo's consolation goal near the hour mark.

This loss is Milan's first of the season and they now drop to seventh in the standings with six points. The defeat also raises more questions if they can compete with the best even after spending €200 million in the summer.

Meanwhile, the other Milan squad, Inter, maintained their perfect record with a 2-0 smacking of new boys SPAL, thanks to Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic who scored in both intervals.

Reigning champions Juventus and challengers Napoli also kept their records unblemished after a 3-0 demolition of their Week 3 opponents. The Old Lady trounced Chievo in the opening game of the week, while the Partenopei closed it out by the same scoreline against Bologna.

At the bottom end of the table, five teams are still without a win. Newly-promoted Benevento, nonetheless, are the only club without a point following their 0-1 loss to Torino.

Wounded Old Lady has a Nasty Bite!

And boy is she wounded! The Bianconeri had a real football lesson at the Camp Nou on Tuesday and the sports betting world fully expects a reaction.

Juventus, strong favourites to win Serie A, have attracted plenty of football bets on a domestic and European double. But there’s still a long way to go and now it’s time to concentrate on Serie A again.

WEEK 4 SATURDAY:

Crotone vs Inter Milan

Inter has a 100 per cent record, which is no surprise to the football betting pundits who tipped Luciano Spalletti’s side to make a challenge this season. They have a chance to put pressure on Juve with a win at Crotone and Mauro Icardi will be keen to add to his five goal tally. Inter is at 2.00 to win with a -1.50 handicap, Crotone is at 1.93 with that start.

WEEK 4 SUNDAY:

Fiorentina vs Bologna

Star striker Giovanni Simeone got the first goal in the 5-0 destruction of Verona and Stefano Pioli’s team has a chance to leapfrog their visitors this weekend. Bologna lost at home to Napoli 3-0 last week and the Viola has won four of the last five between these two.

AS Roma vs Hellas Verona

Eusebio Di Francesco’s Roma have made a steady start in the league with a single win so far and had a tough Champions League 0-0 draw with Atletico Madrid in midweek. This is a chance to get their season going against newly-promoted Verona who were destroyed by Fiorentina last week.

Sassuolo vs Juventus

Juventus come into this game top on goal difference and Max Allegri shouldn’t have to work too hard to pick his team up after the Champions League loss to Barca. Sassuolo are on one point and Juve’s strike pair of Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain will smell blood. Juventus at 1.88 with a handicap of -1.00 looks good value.

Napoli vs Benevento

Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli have three wins from three and entertain new boys Benevento, who are rock bottom and still to get a top flight point. Napoli’s goals flow from all parts of the team and Dries Mertens has made a fast start again. The hosts, like Juve may be hurting after a Champions League setback against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Torino vs Sampdoria These two old favourites have both made a decent start to the new season. Torino is in fifth place with the visitors just a place and a point behind. Sampdoria’s Fabio Quagliarella is a threat and already has three goals.

AC Milan vs Udinese

Big summer signing Leonardo Bonucci will not have been amused as Milan lost their first points of the season in a disastrous showing in Rome. The Rossoneri should take their frustration out on Udinese, who won their first points last week. But, believe it or not, the visitors did the double over Milan last year.

SPAL vs Cagliari

Cagliari got their season going last week with a 1-0 home win over Crotone and now have a tricky visit to newcomers SPAL. The hosts have made a good start having picked up four points and are slight favourites to win this game at 2.49.

WEEK 4 MONDAY:

Chievo vs Atalanta

This one’s a tough game to call. Atalanta won at Sassuolo last week to get off the mark. They’ve had a difficult start with defeats to Napoli and Roma. Chievo, too, have three points but have already faced pacesetters Lazio and Juve. They’ll both fancy this one.

Genoa vs Lazio

The potent Ciro Immobile scored a hat-trick to make it four for the season as fourth placed Lazio humbled Milan 4-1 last week. Genoa lost to Udinese and have a solitary point, sitting in 16th. Lazio should win, but beware that Genoa have won three of its last four at home.

Three is Simply the Best for Paulo and Dries

Paulo Dybala scored a brilliant hat-trick against Sassuolo at Sunday lunchtime to fire Juventus back to the top of Serie A, albeit temporarily, with a 3-1 win.

But then in the afternoon; Dries Mertens did exactly the same to push Napoli to the top by destroying Benevento 6-0. It was a great weekend for handicap betting fans, those who backed the Bianconeri at betting odds of around 1.88 with a -1.00 handicap, and anyone who backed Napoli with any handicap you want!

Before all that, Inter kicked off two days of twists and turns, and online betting fun, by doing their bit in beating Crotone 2-0 on Saturday, thanks to goals from Milan Skriniar and Ivan Peresic. That briefly put Inter at the top of the league… though they knew the Old Lady would likely overtake them, but Napoli too?

Mertens’ hat-trick included two penalties in the destruction of new boys Benevento, while the pick of Dybala’s three was a sumptuous free kick in the second half; so that leaves the three pacesetters locked on 12 points separated only by goal difference.

In the last match of the weekend, Ciro Immobile was on target twice as Lazio won 2-3 at Genoa to stay fourth, while Milan beat Udinese 2-1 to go fifth thanks to a Nikola Kalinic double.

And there were wins for Cagliari, Roma and Fiorentina, while Torino drew with Sampdoria and Chievo shared the points with Atalanta.

Serie A’s Three-way Battle at the Top is Just Getting Started!

Last season, Juventus retook the top spot in the Serie A table in Week 5 and never relinquished the lead from then. Now, entering the same period this campaign, they will look to control the betting odds and reclaim their throne.

However, with Napoli playing better than ever and Inter Milan looking to contend, the Old Lady certainly won't have an easy way back in this midweek live betting showdown.

WEEK 5 WEDNESDAY:

Bologna vs Inter Milan

Inter are undefeated in four football games, so there's no doubt why they are expected to come out on top in this one. Bologna haven't defeated them for almost four years now, and that's unlikely to change with Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic on fire.

With that said, go for Inter Asian Handicap -1.00 @ 2.01.

WEEK 5 THURSDAY:

Benevento vs AS Roma

Still winless in the top flight, new boys Benevento might be on their way back to relegation. It remains to be seen if their manager, Marco Baroni, will be given another opportunity to prove himself, but it's not looking good for him as they are up against last year's runners-up Roma who are fresh off a 3-0 thrashing of Verona, also newcomers.

Atalanta vs Crotone

Atalanta are off to a bumpy start, but they have a chance to hit the ground running against fellow strugglers Crotone. Davide Nicola's outfit are the only team that haven't scored yet in the league, and Atalanta can take advantage of that glaring offensive weakness to get full three points.

Cagliari vs Sassuolo

The past two meetings between these two featured 15 goals, with the last a 6-2 win for Sassuolo, so it isn't wrong to expect the same high-scoring affair this time. Cagliari, though, will enter the match with more confidence after back-to-back wins, in contrast to Sassuolo who are yet to get their first victory.

Genoa vs Chievo

The Genoa-Chievo matchup is expected to be a tight battle considering that the previous meetings between the two had always been close. However, if teenager Pietro Pellegri can find his rhythm again just like how he did against Lazio, then Genoa have a good chance of overcoming Chievo's balanced frontline.

Hellas Verona vs Sampdoria

Although Verona scored 64 goals in Serie B last year on their way to earning promotion, their sharpness on the offence was now nowhere to be seen. Sampdoria, meanwhile, are on a solid run and should be able to continue climbing the table with Fabio Quagliarella leading the frontline.

Juventus vs Fiorentina

The Old Lady can't underestimate a Fiorentina outfit that beat them once last year. Though, with Paulo Dybala already bagging his second Serie A hat-trick this year, it will certainly take a lot from the Viola to pull off an upset.

This fight is likely to end up close, but I think Juventus can take advantage playing at home to pull away early and beat a First Half Asian Handicap -0.75 @ 2.33.

Lazio vs Napoli

With 15 goals scored and just two conceded, Napoli will undoubtedly be difficult to take down.  Lazio, with Ciro Immobile, have the weapon to counter whatever Napoli throw at them, but the hosts need to buckle up their defence first if they want to win.

Napoli are on a roll and, although I think this will be competitive, betting on the Partenopei Asian Handicap -0.50 @ 2.03 looks like a great move to make.

AC Milan vs SPAL

Currently at fifth place, AC Milan will be determined to catch up with its other Milan rival. Patrick Cutrone, Nikola Kalinic, and Suso have already scored two goals each for Vincenzo Montella's side, and they looked poised to extend their winning run when they meet SPAL who are coming off back-to-back 2-0 defeats.

Udinese vs Torino

Torino and Udinese have fought out two 2-2 draws in the 2016-17 campaign, and all signs point that it won't be different this time. Torino have the better record as of the moment and are undoubtedly talented, but they are still struggling closing out tight matches.

It’s a Big Scoring Feast for These Clubs!

The Serie A midweek was blessed with a good number of high-scoring football games that brought a lot of entertainment to supporters and football betting fans alike. Fans everywhere were treated to a feast of goals and heavy attacking football from some of the world’s best footballers.

Most of the high-scoring games were complete blowouts, with one being a close battle. These clubs will surely get great betting odds for the next game day.

The most eye-catching result among all of them is Atalanta’s 5-1 victory over Crotone. Andrea Petagna and Josip Ilicic had outstanding outings for La Dea, adding to their goal and assist tallies for the season. The visitors, meanwhile, struggled to get going as a 70th-minute spot kick from Marco Tumminello stopped Atalanta from gaining a clean sheet.

Roma pulled off an impressive 4-0 away victory at Benevento behind the brace of Edin Dzeko and the misgivings of the opponent’s centre-back pairing. Fabio Lucioni and Lorenzo Venuti have a lot of mulling to do after scoring goals in their own net.

Lazio started their game against Napoli well, with Stefan de Vrijj’s strike at 29 minutes. However, it seems like they left their boots in the locker room when Napoli bounced back in the second half to win 4-1.

Meanwhile, The Milan-SPAL match was an interesting spectacle on its own. The Rossoneri did not score goals in open play as the goals of Ricardo Rodriguez and Franck Kessie were penalties.

The tightest match in the midweek games was between Udinese and Torino. Torino settled the game early, with goals from Andrea Belotti and Emil Hallfredsson. Rodrigo de Paul put the hosts back in the game, but Adam Ljajic put it away for Torino, with Hallfredsson’s error costing Udinese the draw.

If Serie A games continue to be as dynamic as these ones, expect more people to pay attention. There’s nothing like a lot of goals to excite the crowd.

Serie A Football Betting is Alive and Kicking!

Well, we’re five games in and it’s been a great start in the Italian top tier as Napoli have thrown down the gauntlet to serial Serie A champions Juventus.

Before a ball was kicked in anger the betting odds pointed to another league triumph for the Old Lady, but Napoli in pushing the pace and the Milan clubs aren’t far behind.

WEEK 6 SATURDAY:

AS Roma vs Udinese

Roma is up to seventh having had back to back wins, scoring seven unanswered goals while Udinese languishes in 16th after two defeats. Both teams have been free-scoring so far, with a single game each under 2.5 goals. You can get 1.90 on under 3.25 goals if you think that trend may end with a clinical home win.

WEEK 6 SUNDAY:

SPAL vs Napoli

Napoli thumped Lazio in midweek 1-4, and the handicap betting offer of an away win against SPAL suggests the league leaders will continue their march. Napoli are available at 1.88 to triumph, with a -1.75 goals handicap, and having scored ten goals in the last two they now face a Spal side which has lost its last three games, all 2-0.

Juventus vs Torino

So the Bianconeri need to win to keep up and, having just beaten Fiorentina 1-0, they aren’t as free-scoring as their rivals. Paulo Dybala is top scoring though, with eight, and Max Allegri will hope he gets some assistance from Gonzalo Higuain as they face fifth placed Torino who are still unbeaten.

Sampdoria vs AC Milan

Milan sit fourth but have a tough task on a visit to Sampdoria. The home team have made a great start to the new campaign, unbeaten and with eight points from four games. Striker Fabio Quagliarella has been on target four times already and the odds on a draw at 3.35 look tempting.

Inter Milan vs Genoa

Mauro Icardi was on the mark for his sixth goal of the season as Inter drew 1-1 at Bologna in midweek to stay in third, and the title challengers will expect to beat 17th placed Genoa, still without a win.

Hellas Verona vs Lazio

Sixth-placed Lazio had a reality check in midweek as Napoli showed there was a gulf in class while beating their Roman hosts. But Ciro Immobile, already on six goals, can fire his team to a win away to a Verona side which are yet to register a victory.

Crotone vs Benevento

19th plays 20th, or to put it another way, Crotone with one point in the bag hosts Benevento with one less. It’s been a baptism of fire for the new boys and if, as expected, they lose this one, it’s going to be a long, long season.

Cagliari vs Chievo

Here’s another mid-table battle at Cagliari when they host Chievo. But the home side is on the better form, with two wins from the last three games while the visitors haven’t won since the opening day. Cagliari is at 2.21 to win this match.

WEEK 6 MONDAY:

Sassuolo vs Bologna

Cagliari’s winning run was halted by Sassuolo on Wednesday and that, in turn, ended a run of three consecutive defeats for the hosts. Another win will enable them to leapfrog 13th placed Bologna, itself without a win in three.

Fiorentina vs Atalanta

After two wins on the bounce, the Viola fought hard in Turin and was a little unlucky to lose 1-0 to Juventus. Atalanta are in good shape too, thumping Crotone 5-1 and recently beating Everton 3-0 in the UEFA cup. Both will hope to improve on their current mid table positions and this will be a great contest.

Naples and Turin are the Best Places for Football Betting

The big guns are firing straight and true in Serie A, as Napoli and Juventus won again to maintain their 100 percent record after six league football games.

And there was live betting drama In Milan too as Inter scored a late goal to beat Genoa to stay in touch with the leaders.

Juventus’ Paulo Dybala has moved on to ten goals already after scoring twice in a 4-0 derby win over Torino, made easier by the visitors’ defender, Daniele Baselli, getting himself sent off. But Napoli stay top, on goal difference, after Faouzi Ghoulam scored a late winner in a 2-3 triumph against new boys SPAL. The hosts haven’t previously been in the top flight for half a century but, after this showing, they could make a decent go of it.

Danilo D’Ambrosio headed a dramatic 87th-minute winner to keep Inter third with a 1-0 win, as Genoa fell apart and ended up with nine men when Adel Taarabt and Stephane Omeonga both saw red in stoppage time.

Lazio hitman Ciro Immobile grabbed a double in a 0-3 win at Verona to put his team fourth, while Stephan El Shaarawy was also on target twice as Roma beat Udinese 3-1. Milan lost 2-0 at Sampdoria while Crotone beat Benevento by the same score to leave the bottom club pointless.

Elsewhere, there were wins for Chievo and Bologna, and in the Sunday night game Remo Freuler scored a 94th-minute equaliser to grab a point for Atalanta in a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina.

It’s a Fight to See Who will Keep Winning!

Football games in the Serie A continue to heat up as football betting fans look at the last two clubs that managed to maintain a perfect record so far.

Juventus are expected to win year in and year out with the amount of talent they have on the roster. Meanwhile, Napoli are surprising many neutrals with their blitzing start to the season?

Which side will keep the winning run going? Let’s find out this weekend!

WEEK 7 SUNDAY:

Udinese vs Sampdoria

The first match this weekend features a side that will have to fight steep betting odds.

Luigi Delneri needs to find the winning formula fast if he doesn’t want to get the boot this early in the season. With Sampdoria getting favourable results left and right, however, the prospects of getting points are slim.

Genoa vs Bologna

Genoa are enduring a terrible start to the season, their draw against Chievo being their second point in six games. They will be plunged deeper into a season-long relegation battle if they fail to stop the free-scoring attackers of Bologna.

Napoli vs Cagliari

Dries Mertens is doing fantastic work on the attacking side for Napoli, his six goals adding to an impressive 22-goal scoring tally. With Napoli’s attack being this red-hot, I don’t see Cagliari ever finding a way to stop the attacks.

This is a sure win for Napoli, so punting for Napoli -2.50 Asian Handicap @ 1.99 can get you great winnings.

Benevento vs Inter Milan

Benevento’s spirited attack against Crotone last time out is worthy of praise, but shooting a lot doesn’t equate into wins if you don’t put it in the back of the net. This fact is what Marco Baroni needs to drill into his lads as Mauro Icardi and Inter come to play.

Chievo vs Fiorentina

This mid-table clash between Chievo and Fiorentina don’t have anything to write home about, but they can offer good football. With no real goalscorer stepping up for either club, Rolando Maran and Stefano Pioli will need to look deep into their rosters for a solution.

Lazio vs Sassuolo

Lazio had a great start to the season, but competing in the Europa League may do more harm than good. A visiting Napoli thrashed an exhausted Lazio on the 21st, reminding Simone Inzaghi to better manage his players’ conditions.

His skills will be tested when a hungry Sassuolo side comes to play at Stadio Olimpico.

SPAL vs Crotone

Both sides are uncomfortably close to the bottom of the table, so a big win here could help them secure their survival early on. Crotone will be coming into the match more confident after snapping a five-game winless streak. However, SPAL’s close result against Napoli is nothing to scoff at.

Torino vs Hellas Verona

Hellas Verona have a worrying scoring problem: Giampaolo Pazzini’s goal in the opener has been the only one this newly promoted side has gotten six games into the season. Pazzini and the rest of the team need to score if they wish to win against a Torino side that was blown away by Juve.

WEEK 7 MONDAY:

AC Milan vs AS Roma

The hardest match to call, this Milan-Roma clash will be an exciting sight for supporters and punters alike. Both have come out of the gates running but suffered a few hiccups. Milan will be pressed to erase the pang of losing to Sampdoria and fend off a strong Roma side. Meanwhile, Edin Dzeko is nothing short of amazing for Eusebio Di Francesco.

I’m leaning towards Roma to stomp Milan even further, making AS Roma -0.25 @ 2.33 an intriguing prospect.

Atalanta vs Juventus

Gian Piero Gasperini and Atalanta should get a pat on a back for turning a horrible two-game stint into motivation that helped them win their next four league matches. However, they don’t have the quality to stop a side as talented as Juventus. Paulo Dybala is already more than enough to take care of them.

Juventus -1.00 @ 2.38 should not even be doubted upon: make your big punt today!

Brilliant Comebacks are the Best for Football Betting!

Atalanta 2-2 Juventus

Juventus dropped their first points of the season and missed their chance to join Napoli at the top of the Serie A table, no thanks to a determined Atalanta side who fought back from two goals down to shock the online betting favourites.

The Bianconeri had the betting odds on their side against Gian Piero Gasperini's men that have only two wins to boast. However, despite a hot start that saw Federico Bernardeschi and Gonzalo Higuain put them in front in less than 25 minutes, the Old Lady weren't able to hold on to their advantage and had to share the spoils.

Mattia Caldara and Bryan Cristante were on target in both intervals to lead the hosts and secure their third stalemate of the season.

Juve, though, could have won it in the second half, but Mario Mandzukic's header was disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee and Paulo Dybala's penalty kick saved by Atalanta keeper Etrit Berisha.

The draw put Juventus in second, two points behind leaders Napoli, who beat Cagliari earlier at Stadio San Paolo 3-0.

Meanwhile, talking about comebacks, new boys Hellas Verona played a fantastic game as they draw with Torino 2-2, thanks to a late barrage that saw them score two goals in the last five minutes – including a Giampaolo Pazzini spot kick in added time.

Chievo also trailed Fiorentina at first in their meeting at Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi, but Lucas Castro sparked the hosts with a double to win 2-1.

Elsewhere, Maxi Lopez hit a double against Sampdoria to pull Udinese further away from the relegation spots, while both Luis Alberto and Marco Parolo bagged a brace to lead Lazio's 6-1 thrashing of Sassuolo.

The two Milan sides, on the other hand, had different fates, as Inter kept Benevento winless while AC Milan suffered a frustrating defeat to Roma.

Bologna also got the win against struggling Genoa; and SPAL and Crotone played out a 1-1 stalemate.

The league now heads into another international break, giving teams almost two weeks to recuperate before returning to action.

Big Football Games and Top Scorers on a Bonanza Weekend!

What a treat we have waiting for us in Serie A, as Italy’s finest return from international duty to square up to each other in three fantastic fixtures.

It’s a dream for football betting fans when four of the top five teams clash on Saturday, and Milan is the place to be for the big derby on Sunday. And you can join in the fun and drama with Asian Handicap betting at SBOBET.

WEEK 8 SATURDAY:

Juventus vs Lazio

And if that isn’t enough for you, the league’s top scorers meet in Turin. Second-placed Juve, fired on by Paulo Dybala’s ten goals, host fourth-placed Lazio, with Ciro Immobile in electrifying form on nine goals. The Bianconeri are 1.97 to win with a -1.00 goal handicap and Lazio at 1.96 with a goal start.

AS Roma vs Napoli

Pull up a chair on Saturday and enjoy the football as fifth plays top at the Olimpico Stadium in Rome. Napoli are at 2.44 to get another win, with Roma at 2.62 and 3.50 the draw. Both teams have won five on the bounce and have Edin Dzeko and Dries Mertens top scoring with seven each. What a game!

Fiorentina vs Udinese

Twelfth plays thirteenth at the Artemio Franchi and the Viola will be looking upwards in the hope of a home win. Coach Stefano Pioli will look to Giovanni Simeone to add to his two goals and help the hosts emerge from a three-match winless run.

Crotone vs Torino

Torino made a good start in sixth, with Andrea Belotti and Adem Ljajic both on three goals. Crotone are showing signs of recovery from a poor start with four points from the last two games against lowly opposition, but Davide Nicola’s side needs to show they can take on the better teams.

Sampdoria vs Atalanta

This is a tough game to call with eighth-placed Sampdoria hosting last season’s high flyers in Atalanta, who currently sit in 11th. The visitors will look to influential attacking midfielder Josip Ilicic to pull the strings, but Sampdoria won three on the bounce at home.

Sassuolo vs Chievo

Chievo are unbeaten in four and are comfortable in ninth. Alessandro Gamberini is a key player at the heart of Chievo’s defence and he will keep things tight while his attackers try to extend Sassuolo’s poor run of five defeats in six.

Bologna vs SPAL

Roberto Donadoni seems to have got his Bologna team going better this term with seven points from their last three games lifting the hosts to tenth. But newcomers SPAL will take comfort from the fact that Bologna have failed to win in their last four matches at the Renato Dall’Ara.

Cagliari vs Genoa

Cagliari has lost three on the bounce after a decent start to the campaign. But they will see this as a great chance to get back on track at the Sardegna Arena against a Genoa side, in 19th, without a win in seven.

WEEK 8 MONDAY:

Inter Milan vs AC Milan

If you’ve caught your breath and can take another 90 minutes of all-out action, then head to Milan for the Sunday derby. Luciano Spalletti’s Inter won their last six games at home whereas Milan lost back-to-back league games. Inter’s Mauro Icardi is top scoring with six goals, and the hosts are at 2.16 to continue their great run.

WEEK 8 TUESDAY:

Hellas Verona vs Benevento

These two are unlikely to change positions before they meet on Monday, and I suspect poor Benevento will stay rock bottom afterwards. At least 18th-placed Verona have three draws, whereas the visitors are pointless after seven games.

Old Lady is Stunned by the Brilliant Immobile

Another double strike from the irrepressible Ciro Immobile gave Lazio a 1-2 win In Turin to leave Juventus five points off the top, and draw Lazio level on points with the Champions, in fourth place.

In a fantastic round of football games, league leaders Napoli took advantage of the Bianconeri’s loss to stretch their lead over the betting websites’ hot favourites. And this loss was a stunning result, the first home defeat for Juve in two years. Pre-match betting odds had Juventus to win with a -1.00 goal handicap, but that never looked likely as Lazio made their own case for an assault on the title.

Douglas Costa had put the hosts ahead, but Immobile showed his striker’s instinct, converting a great cross from Luis Alberto shortly after the break. And then he added his 14th goal of the season, in all competitions, from the spot. Juve’s own top scorer, Paulo Dybala, missed an injury-time penalty.

Immobile’s former strike partner while at Pescara, Lorenzo Insigne, smashed home Napoli’s winner in a 0-1 triumph against Roma. The hosts came in on the back of five wins in six, but Napoli showed great determination to hang on to their lead.

Mauro Icardi hit a hat-trick to give Inter a 3-2 victory in the Milan derby. Icardi put Inter ahead twice, but Milan fought back to score early in the second half when Fabio Borini teed up Suso to fire home from distance, and a late own goal by Samir Handanovic almost gave them a point. But Icardi slotted home a late penalty to put Inter clear in second place. That’s three defeats on the bounce for Milan.

Elsewhere, there were also wins for Fiorentina, Bologna, Genoa and Sampdoria, while Hellas Verona and Benevento battle it out for bottom spot tomorrow.

Will the Shocking Juve Slump Stop Here?

Football betting fans are surprised with the way Juventus have performed as of late.

The last two football games for the Serie A giants have been nothing short of disappointing for them. A draw to Atalanta and a loss to Lazio have put I Biancocelesti, Inter and Napoli ahead of them.

Betting odds will likely favour the Bianconeri when they face Udinese, but they better step up if they want to defend the title.

WEEK 9 SUNDAY:

Sampdoria vs Crotone

The first game of the weekend is between Sampdoria and Crotone. These two sides are at opposite sides of the table, so we can chalk this up as a Sampdoria win. We can expect fast attacks and goals from Fabio Quagliarella.

Napoli vs Inter Milan

This is the biggest game of the weekend. The victors of this match will walk out of Stadio San Paolo as Juventus’ biggest rivals of the season.

Both teams are in fine form thanks to Dries Mertens and Mauro Icardi’s goals. These two clubs are also the only Serie A clubs without a loss so far. I am confident that there will be goals this game, but it is highly likely the two clubs will split the spoils. Go for Inter’s +0.75 @ 2.11.

Chievo vs Hellas Verona

Fabio Pecchia and Hellas Verona are on a high after recording their first Serie A win of the season. However, I am not sure if they can manage to snatch three points away from Chievo. The hosts’ unbeaten run thus far shows their superb form at the moment, and they will be a test to the visitors.

Atalanta vs Bologna

Atalanta are competing for the Europa League slots, but their recent loss to Sampdoria will surely worry many of the Nerazzurri faithful. They need to turn things around and defeat a red-hot Bologna side in order to put the pressure on Roma and Sampdoria.

Benevento vs Fiorentina

Benevento are still struggling to get a single point in Serie A and are heavy favourites for relegation. Their task of staying up won’t get any easier as Fiorentina visit Stadio Ciro Vigorito. Marco Baroni has the tough task of finding a way to plug their leaky defence and rearrange the attacks to set up a winning goal.

AC Milan vs Genoa

Milan are in a worse shape than Juventus in that they are trying to stop a three-game losing skid. While the Rossoneri did play strong squads during their last three games, a win against Genoa is a must.

Fortunately for them, Genoa aren’t in their best form right now. They can simply overpower them with their roster to get the three points. Punters interested in this game should look at Milan -1.00 @ 1.84.

SPAL vs Sassuolo

Both of these clubs are in an early relegation battle and will scrap for every point they can get to get out of the drop zone. Both teams are struggling to find goals at times, so it’s highly possible for this to end up a draw.

Torino vs AS Roma

This game promises to be an interesting watch.

Torino are currently eighth in the table, but their current form falls short of their position. Meanwhile, Roma will be hungry to gain the points they lost to Napoli by bringing out an all-out attack. Edin Dzeko will be in the middle of it all as Torino will try to walk away with a clean sheet at home.

WEEK 9 MONDAY:

Udinese vs Juventus

On a normal day, people would look at Juventus as favourites. However, the Old Lady’s current form and Udinese’s impressive 4-0 win over Sampdoria will make fans nervous.

Juventus may have had a rough patch, but the strength of the champions should manifest at this game. I don’t think the club wants this run to overextend its stay. Bet on Juventus -1.25 @ 2.21 because they’ll be scoring goals this weekend.

Lazio vs Cagliari

Lazio have been in fine form, winning a lot of games on the back of Ciro Immobile’s 11 league goals. Given how red-hot Lazio’s offence have been for the past month, I don’t see them slowing down when they host Cagliari.

Super Samir Saves the Day for Fantastic Inter!

Napoli 0-0 Inter Milan

Inter Milan put an end to Napoli's unbeaten start to the Serie A season, thanks in large part to the brilliant goalkeeping of Slovenian keeper Samir Handanovic.

Napoli commanded the pre-match betting odds, and they showed in the game the reason for that as they bossed the proceedings with over 62 percent possession.

Despite dominating for the most part, however, the online betting favourites from Naples couldn't find a way past the in-form Handanovic, who produced a masterful performance to deny them their ninth win in as many football games.

Handanovic made a number of crucial saves, most noteworthy a sparkling first-half double save on shots from Jose Callejon and Dries Mertens.

The 33-year-old then stopped Lorenzo Insigne's header 35 minutes into the game and palmed away Piotr Zielinski's long-range strike in the second half. He also denied Merten's flicked shot in the closing stages to keep the score at 0-0 as time expires.

Luciano Spalletti's side, meanwhile, didn't have the attacking threat that the Partenopei showed, but they almost broke the deadlock and could have carved out a win themselves through Matias Vecino. However, the Uruguayan's chipped effort was cleared by the well-placed Raul Albiol off the goal line.

The draw leaves Napoli and Inter still at first and second respectively, with the former two points clear at the top. Inter, though, are still without a win at San Paolo since 1997.

On the other games, Sampdoria thrashed lowly Crotone with five unanswered goals, leaving the visitors in the relegation zone. Third-placed Juventus also had a brilliant showing as they rout Udinese 2-6 behind Sami Khedira's first career hat-trick.

Elsewhere, Lazio, Chievo, Sassuolo, Roma, and Atalanta all bagged a win. Fiorentina made back-to-back wins as well, keeping Benevento without a point and destined for a quick trip back to Serie B.

Meanwhile, AC Milan and Genoa played a goalless draw too as Vincenzo Montella's men failed to stop their winless skid.

Which Club is the Best for Your Online Betting Options?

This week is a delightful one for many football betting fans, thanks to the Serie A midweek!

After the frantic action that happened over the weekend, we are rushed back to another set of football games that will satisfy the wishes of demanding punters.

Let’s not dally further and dive straight into the games!

WEEK 10 WEDNESDAY:

Inter Milan vs Sampdoria

Bookies favour Inter to win against Sampdoria despite their draw against league leaders Napoli. Fabio Quagliadera will be a legitimate scoring threat for the visitors, but Mauro Icardi is more than happy to trade goals. I see this ending in a draw, so go for Sampdoria +1.00 @ 2.28.

WEEK 10 THURSDAY:

Atalanta vs Hellas Verona

Hellas Veras suffered a demoralizing loss against Chievo and are dangerously close to the drop zone. They have a tough task of stealing three points against a surging Atalanta if they want to separate themselves from the relegation battle.

Bologna vs Lazio

Bologna’s four-game unbeaten streak was suddenly cut short by Andreas Cornelius. Roberto Donadoni will be hoping for at least a draw when they square up against Lazio at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. I Biancocelesti won 10 of their last 11 matches, so Bologna will have to dig deep for a point here.

Cagliari vs Benevento

Benevento are yet to register a single point in Serie A after losing all of their matches so far. Cagliari would hate to be the side that stops this embarrassing run, so expect the hosts to try and overrun Benevento.

Chievo vs AC Milan

Milan are still struggling to get their act together, and their spot in the table shows just how disjointed this talented roster is at the moment. I think the synergy problems won’t be solved in one game only, so I fancy Chievo running away with the three points. Place your money on Chievo +0.25 @ 2.03.

Fiorentina vs Torino

Torino are on a worrying winless streak after losing two of their last four games. Meanwhile, Fiorentina are starting a mini-run of their own after beating Udinese and Benevento. I see this as a prime opportunity for the Viola to get three more points from the struggling opposition.

Genoa vs Napoli

Dries Mertens may be falling behind Icardi and Paulo Dybala in terms of goals, but the fact that Napoli are still the Serie A leaders at this stage proves just how balanced Napoli’s roster is. To be honest, I’ll be surprised if Genoa manages to force a draw and upset many bookies.

Juventus vs SPAL

The Old Lady bounced back in a big way after obliterating Udinese. Dybala, Sami Khedira and company will be gunning for the top of the table once more by snagging three more points against SPAL. I don’t think the visitors have deep enough of a roster to make a difference.

AS Roma vs Crotone

If you think Crotone’s 5-0 loss to Sampdoria was rough, wait until they head to Stadio Olimpico to face Roma. Sure, I Giallorossi struggled a bit as of late, but they should not find Crotone as a challenge at all. Consider Roma’s -2.25 @ 2.09 for big returns.

Sassuolo vs Udinese

Udinese lost four of their last five matches in Serie A, bringing up concerns about the stability and consistency of their defence. However, Sassuolo aren’t that much of a scoring threat. This game has “draw” written all over it.

It’s an Intense Race at the Top!

Genoa 2-3 Napoli

Online betting fans love nothing more than intense football games that provide great football action and great winnings. A lot were happy that the midweek did little in affecting the performance of this season’s top performers. There is now a tight race at the top to see which club will please

Napoli are gaining traction among betting websites after maintaining a slim lead against Inter and Juventus. However, their goal difference advantage took a hit after conceding two goals against Genoa. Thankfully for them, Dries Mertens and Ervin Zukanovic’s own goal secured the three points for them.

Inter also had a close match with Sampdoria after the visitors made a late scoring run in the second half. Thankfully for them, Mauro Icardi’s two goals helped Luciano Spalletti secure the win.

Juventus have finally shrugged off their poor form domestically after beating SPAL to the ground. Federico Bernardeschi, Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain and Juan Cuadrado made sure that Alberto Paloschi’s strike would be the only good thing SPAL will be taking from Torino’s Allianz Stadium.

Roma may not be scoring as much as they did last season, but they’re doing great work in ensuring that they still get the three points. Diego Perotti’s spot kick was the only goal scored in the game, but Roma had full control of the contents of the 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, Milan finally broke their poor form and obliterated Chievo in front of their home crowd. Suso, Hakan Calhanoglu, Nikola Kalinic and Bostjan Cesar’s own goal doomed Chievo by 55 minutes. Vincenzo Montella and the Rossoneri will now be hoping for better things as they look to turn their season around.

The season is heating up, and the battle for Serie A supremacy will surely get a lot of you pumping! The fun does not end here as the weekend promises more exciting football action!

This Man can Always Slash the Betting Odds

AC Milan 0-2 Juventus

They've lately struggled to match the high standards they've set themselves in recent years but this past seven days has shown why the Italian champions cannot be written off.

As they chase a record seventh straight Scudetto, Juventus are winning football games and shortening the betting odds on creating yet more history.

Ominously, they have scored 12 goals in the last three matches and that won't have gone unnoticed by the sides around them in Serie A.

Yes, Napoli, the side which pushed them so close two years ago, have restored their three point advantage after victory over lowly Sassuolo, courtesy of goals from Allan, Jose Callejon, and Dries Mertens.

Yes, a resurgent Inter Milan could leapfrog them back into second place with victory tomorrow over strugglers Hellas Verona.

Yes, Lazio's win at Benevento, still bottom and still without a point, means they are only behind the Old Lady on goal difference. Bastos, Ciro Immobile, Adam Marusic, Marco Parolo and Nani were on target in that 5-1 romp.

But after a month which began with the Old Lady throwing away a two-goal lead at Atalanta and then witnessing Lazio defeat them on their own turf thanks to Immobile's double, the Turin giants return to form has been telling.

Of course, when you have a striker as prolific as Gonzalo Higuain your chances increase tenfold.

His double against Milan - who suffered a fifth defeat in 11 matches and proof the big summer-spending Rossoneri remain off the pace as far as a title challenge is concerned, took his tally to 101 Serie A goals (for Napoli and Juventus) since his 2013 move from Real Madrid.

With those arriving in 153 games, no wonder Juventus look favourites for the big prize one again.

If Napoli could not win the title with Higuain, what chance have they got now he's at their rivals?

Maurizio Sarri knows he needs strength in depth and, should they strengthen in January, perhaps his determined and tenacious Napoli side can make Neapolitan dreams come true.

Keeping Lorenzo Insigne, Mertens and Callejon fit is key to bringing unbridled joy to those who pack out the Stadio San Paolo.

For the neutral, it would be a wonderful story, just it's hard to imagine Max Allegri's boys easing up as this past week has proved.

Betting Odds Say this is Really Napoli’s Time!

After years of Juventus dominance, could this be the year Napoli takes the Bianconeri down?

Our handicap betting odds on the winner of Scudetto has Maurizio Sarri’s team at 1.95 against Juventus at 2.25, and that’s been unheard of during a string of Juventus triumphs. Napoli lead Serie A but are being matched, stride for stride, by Inter with five wins and a draw in the last six games. Meanwhile, Lazio fans are backing their team to stay in the fight after six consecutive wins.

So Napoli is in pole position. However, this weekend’s football games give the chasers a chance, all with home fixtures while Napoli is away.

WEEK 12 SUNDAY:

Bologna vs Crotone

Roberto Donadoni will be determined to turn around his team’s form after the home side followed up three wins with three defeats, while 15th-placed Crotone picked up a victory last week after back-to-back defeats, so they will arrive in good spirits.

Genoa vs Sampdoria

12 points from the last six games have lifted Sampdoria to sixth and a visit to the Luigi Farraris Stadium in Genoa presents another opportunity. The hosts haven’t won at home in five attempts and have slipped to 18th.

Inter Milan vs Torino

Mauro Icardi, with 11 goals, has been in electrifying form, and, if Napoli slips up, Inter could pounce from just two points behind. Torino have been inconsistent and have slipped to ninth so, at 1.87 with a -1.00 goal handicap, Inter should prosper.

Chievo vs Napoli

Napoli’s great run has been punctuated by two Champions League defeats at the hands of Manchester City but back in the league, inspired by Dries Mertens ten goals, they have been in top form. 11th-placed Chievo has had back-to-back defeats and Napoli are at 2.11 to win with a -1.50 goals handicap.

Juventus vs Benevento

Juventus, remember them, are only three points from the summit, so the odds on an outright winner could shift dramatically, and quickly. Benevento are yet to register a single point since their arrival in the top division and are still odds against to win, at 2.09, with a +3.00 goal start.

Lazio vs Udinese

While Napoli and Inter take on the Old Lady, let’s not forget Lazio, with six league wins in six, level on points with Juve and with their own hitman Ciro Immobile on 14 goals. This game isn’t a gimme though as Udinese arrives in Rome with back-to-back wins.

Fiorentina vs AS Roma

The Viola had three wins on the bounce until a surprise defeat to Crotone last week, The Florence club are only two places behind fifth-placed Roma but the gap is eight points. Roma have followed up three league wins with an impressive victory over Chelsea and are still in the hunt for the top spot.

Sassuolo vs AC Milan

Milan are targeting Chelsea’s unhappy manager Antonio Conte for a potential return to Serie A and that’s hardly surprising considering a run of one win in six in all competitions. That uninspiring statistic is matched by 17th-placed Sassuolo so we could see a draw here.

WEEK 12 MONDAY:

Atalanta vs SPAL

After a difficult run, the visitors picked up a crucial win last week against Genoa, which lifted them to 16th place and survival in their first season in Serie A is the sole focus. Atalanta have won five and drawn one of the last six games at the Azzurri D’Italia though. Good luck SPAL!

Cagliari vs Hellas Verona

Cagliari have slumped to 14th place with five defeats in six, but Verona, down in 19th have only bettered that by a single point with a win and a draw in that period. Verona did the double in this fixture though, back in 2015.

Betting Odds Swing Back to Juve After a Big Weekend

Juventus were the winners in Serie A after the latest round of matches, working hard for a victory while their title rivals dropped points.

Napoli had briefly been the betting websites’ favourites to wrestle the title from the Bianconeri, but a 0-0 draw at Chievo has allowed Max Allegri’s champions to reduce the gap at the top to a single point. But they made hard work of it.

Juventus’ 2-1 win over Benevento was much tougher to achieve than expected. The pre-match handicap betting offer had the visitors to lose, even with a three-goal start; but when Amato Ciciretti gave them a surprise lead, the bottom club gamely held on until halftime. And it was almost an hour before Gonzalo Higuain and Juan Cuadrado eventually sealed the win for Juve. On this performance, surely Benevento’s first point isn’t too far away.

Mauro Icardi set up Eder to smash home an equaliser and save a point for third-placed Inter Milan in a 1-1 draw, after Iago Falque had put Torino ahead early in the second half.

Gerson scored a first-half brace to set Roma on the way to a 2-4 win against Fiorentina.  Giovanni Simeone drew the Viola level before the break, but Kostas Manolas put Roma back in front, prompting the home side to go on the attack before Diego Perotti made the points safe with a late strike.

Sampdoria won the derby with Genoa 2-0 thanks to goals from Gaston Ramirez and Fabio Quagliarella, while Milan too had a 0-2 triumph with strikes from Alessio Romagnoli and Suso.

Elsewhere, Atalanta drew with SPAL and there were wins for Crotone and Cagliari.

There’s a Big Live Betting Fight at the Top

Betting odds for the top dog of Serie A keep on getting tighter as there is a five-way battle for the summit.

Napoli, Juventus, Inter Milan, Lazio and Roma are all playing extremely well at the tail end of the year. They have performed so well that the top dog can change after one or two games.

This is an exciting time to be a supporter and a Serie A punter! There are a lot of good football games to catch and there’s not enough time in the world to bet on them all!

WEEK 13 SUNDAY:

AS Roma vs Lazio

Roma and Lazio are enjoying success in Italy and Europe, with both squads winning their last five games. A single point separates them in the table, and a win here could catapult them straight to the top three.

Ciro Immobile will definitely be fired up to make up for his blunders against Sweden by scoring loads. Edin Dzeko will also be trying to pound in goals for Roma. The home team should have a slight advantage, but this should end in a draw. Go for Draw 1X2 for 3.45.

Napoli vs AC Milan

Napoli need a win here if they wish to keep on building their lead over Juventus’ domestic rampage. Ac Milan aren’t at their best right now, but their 0-0 draw against Chievo will plant doubts in the minds of some. Stadio San Paolo should be able to intimidate the visiting Rossoneri to help the home team win. Napoli -1.25 @ 2.08 is an interesting punt to make.

Crotone vs Genoa

This battle between two struggling clubs will set the tone on how their bids for survival will turn out. A win for Crotone will catapult them back to safety, while Genoa will drag their hosts to an arduous struggle. However, Crotone look inspired after winning their last two games. I would be surprised if Genoa would break their losing streak here.

Benevento vs Sassuolo

Benevento look set on being sent back to Serie B while being the whipping boys of the rest of the league. Sassuolo can definitely jump on their struggles and put some distance between themselves and the drop zone.

Sampdoria vs Juventus

Sampdoria are doing pretty well, with Duvan Zapata and Lucas Torreira doing the heavy lifting for them. However, the uber-talented Bianconeri are on a domestic tear, beating local opposition left and right. I don’t see Sampdoria winning over Juve, but they can at least aim for a draw.

SPAL vs Fiorentina

SPAL are struggling to get wins out of their inconsistent squad, but they have done well in avoiding the relegation zone thus far. Meanwhile, Fiorentina will be trying to bounce back after consecutive defeats against Crotone and Roma. I don’t see SPAL finding an answer Cyril Thereau, so a good bet here would be Fiorentina -0.75 @ 2.21.

Torino vs Chievo

Chievo have a strong attack. Lucas Castro, Valter Birsa and Roberto Inglese are the driving force behind their terrific spot on the table. Meanwhile, Torino have Iago Falque, Andrea Belotti and Adem Ljajic to thank for. These six players will definitely light up the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino with their play.

Udinese vs Cagliari

Udinese have the advantage in this mid-table clash. Not only do they have a less leaky defence than their visitors, they also have a nice win streak going. Rodrigo de Paul will be a big defensive assignment for Diego Lopez’s lads.

WEEK 13 MONDAY:

Inter Milan vs Atalanta

Inter may have stumbled a bit offensively against Torino, but Luciano Spalletti should have done the proper adjustments by now. I can’t see anyone in the Atalanta backline that can stop Mauro Icardi from scoring for two games in a row.

WEEK 13 TUESDAY:

Hellas Verona vs Bologna

Giampaolo Pazzini is doing everything he can to help Verona win, but the lads just cannot stop the opposition from attacking from the wings. I don’t see Bologna not pounding them from the left and raining down shots on Nicolas.

The Serie A Summit Gives Exciting Football Games!

Sampdoria 3-2 Juventus

For quite a while, it seemed inevitable for Juventus to retake their spot at the top of the football betting pyramid.

However, a shocking result at Sampdoria proves just how unpredictable this season has become for the clubs at the top. The live betting shocker began with the Old Lady having difficulties in finding the back of the net.

Juan Cuadrado was the standout failure among the underperforming Juve players as they fail to make the most of their scoring opportunities. Sami Khedira, Gonzalo Higuain and Mario Mandzukic all had their time with the ball but failed to make the most out of it.

What set the game in stone for the hosts was Daniel Zapata’s header off a loose lob. Juve’s defence collapsed after the wild header, allowing room for Lucas Torreira and Gianmarco Ferrari to sneak in two goals for a three-goal cushion.

Juve got back into the game after Douglas Costa won a spot-kick for Higuain to convert. Paulo Dybala made a beautiful goal in the 94th minute, but it was too little, too late.

The Juve loss means Napoli get to keep their top slot, thanks to a 2-1 over Milan at home. Gianluigi Donnarumma’s heroics in between the sticks could not help a leaky Milan defence stop the Ciucciarelli.

Inter also made the most out of Sampdoria’s win. They leapfrogged over the defending Serie A champions after holding Atalanta down to a 2-0 win at home. Mauro Icardi is doing his best to make himself beloved by the black and blue side of Milan.

The Rome Derby also gave interesting moments. Roma had to wait until the second half to score goals against Lazio, but their perseverance got them the three points.

With the way the games have been, it’s not surprising to see the top six pulling away from the rest of the pack. If this continues, we will see a rollercoaster end to the season!
