It started as a routine crypto swap and spiraled into a jaw-dropping heist. A victim, seeking a quick exchange of 100 Monero (XMR) for 19,703.15 Tether (TRC20 USDT), turned to imExchanger.pro, a platform endorsed by none other than BestChange.com. The XMR was sent, but the USDT? Vanished into thin air.
But that’s just the beginning. imExchanger.pro went full-blown sinister, demanding personal data, screenshots of private chats, and even call logs, a brazen and invasive stunt with zero legal basis. When pressed for answers, the scammers stonewalled, refusing to disclose their company details or provide a shred of transparency. The victim’s funds? Held hostage without explanation.
The shocking twist? BestChange.com, a supposedly reputable aggregator, actively promoted this scam haven. Even worse, they seem to be in on the act, removing negative reviews about imExchanger.pro and silencing victims’ voices. Is BestChange simply careless, or are they aiding and abetting this crypto carnage?
